BlaCkBlitZ
What if the creators of the TES series made a LAN mode instead of an MMO or Multiplayer-able game. This way, 1 data folder works for single player and another requires internet connection to load and you and 1 friend can customize the data folder together. (Like msn messenger's file sharing.) When in game, if you play CO-OP, it will have a different save from your single player. e.g. Single player has level 30 Assassin Bosmer. In the LAN mode you decided to be a support caster while your friend a conjurer. Think of the possibilities of FUN you guys can have.... Currently I think an extra 1 friend is already as fun as it gets. 4 Players.... may get laggy IMO.
Illiad86
Well, this isn't fiction...someone did attempt to make this multiplayer and play on LAN. Only problem was you had to have a host computer as the "server" and the creator did nothing to finish it.... Honestly, it sounds cool, but it's not for TES. That's why I'll be horribly upset if they do decide to make an MMO.
thehim87
Agreed. Single player games is there speciality. Resist to the MMO mania, please. However, making there future game more interactive as so don't feel the only living player that moves and live in the world. And, at thought, a nice simple multiplayer game such as diablo had, would still be cool. :whistling:
forli
There is a problem called mod:What happend if 2 player online have different mods? (New imperial city make some change...)Or they want to enter in any other city (Only player 2 have open better cities...)Oblivion multiplayer (if bethesda create it) can't have mods. BlaCkBlitZ
Woah, woah. I never said make the TES go into MMO status. Just a CO-OP like feature. @forli: Well... I did say this: "This way, 1 data folder works for single player and another requires internet connection to load and you and 1 friend can customize the data folder together. (Like msn messenger's file sharing.)"But this is all just speculation, theories and fiction making.

Siojo
There was something like this for Morrowind, it had the other person who connected to the main player become an npc that followed the movements of the player.
