Mod Limit!?

So it seems that either FOMM, FOSE, or Fallout 3 have a mod limit of 150, exceeding this limit brings on a lot of weird problems such as meshes disappearing, sound turning off on weapons, icons getting replaced with purple squares, and so on (it's horrible, took a lot of time to figure it out) so my question is if anyone has had this problem and found a way to either increase the limit or fix it somehow

If anyone could help that would be HUGELY appreciated because I like me some mods :D

:thanks:

I thought you could have up to 250 mods. not that it matters much.

you can always merge your mods to lower the number you are using while keeping the same amount of added content.

That's exactly what I've been asking someone else lol, do you know of a way I could do it? (never used GECK before) and yeah the TES4 engine can support up to 250 mods but it seems either FOMM or FOSE can't

If anyone does know how to do it, it would be appreciated please

When you start merging, you run into compatibility issues, so it's probably best to look for stuff like FWE or FOIP to take care of those issues. Of course, those particular mods are made for the really popular mods. If you're confident that such issues don't exist between the mods you want to merge, you could also give FO3 Plugin Utility a shot.

Hey, thanks for the tips. I ran into the same problem yesterday.

Long story short, if I added even a single mod, then textures would start to go wild, icons disappear from the pipboy menu and best of all, the whole datafiles ceasing to load. This was apparent when my pipboyPDA came up as an exclamation mark...

In addition to gsmanner's suggestion (I DLed it myself :) to try it out as an alternative), there is also FO3Edit. Does what the other does, plus more. If additional conflict resolution, merge patch options and whatnot are needed, this utility has it. If you do try out FO3Edit, also get Miax's great FO3Edit guide.

Yeah I actually do use FO3edit a lot, and got the miax's tome thing, but I don't know quite how to do what the plugin does, plus the FO3 plugin is a lot simpler and easy :) thanks for the suggestion though
