lrpvanovost
Hey guys, First up: I am not new to modding, neither to NM and NMM. I have modded the crap out of Skyrim and Oblivion, so I have a basic knowledge. I am, however, new to modding Fallout: New Vegas, and my main issue is my loadorder. I can not seem to find a working application that will do this for me. BOSS does not work, LOOT (which is basically BOSSv3) does not work for me and I tried LOST from the mods section and that doesn't work either... How do you guys set your loadorder? I am running Windows 8.1 and vanilla New Vegas ran fine (no issues). Please note: I am not using Steam. (I have bought the game though.) thedevillives
I let BOSS sort out the mods it knows and then group the mods of the same type it doesn't know in the same area. Still gotta be careful about compatability patches for other mods.
lrpvanovost
@TheDevillives Thanks for your fast response. My issue: BOSS won't run. MSVCP120.dll was missing. I downloaded that file and put it in Sys32 where it belongs, now I get the 0xc000007b error code. It will not run for me. Tried comtability settings and running as admin as well as redownloading BOSS. No joy.
thedevillives
Are you running the GUI version or the HTML version? Or does Boss not run at all? Also, did you download from here? https://github.com/boss-developers/boss/releases/tag/v2.2.0 Maybe try uninstalling and then reinstalling. Could try doing the manual install if you can't get the installer to work. EDIT: By GUI vs HTML, I mean the log format... Sorry bout the confusion. Purr4me
MSVCP120.dll goes in the boss folder, not the system32 directory, there is another dll too you will need, the Loot / boss 2.20 was made on wondows8.1, so that's why you are missing data.MSVCP120.dllMSVCr120.dllkitty

It's now a 'master' issue.
Purr4me
At present I have no games installed so most is from 2 days ago researched. Dealing with Python integrations but some files for the newer systems are in conflict with the older games. So I am going to make a program to find and compile a good set of files for each game in Qt.Enterprise. small app. Which ever game you have, run it's built in launcher and verify it finds the data. IF it does...then it is the Loot inter phase where the problem lies.
lrpvanovost
My New Vegas launcher does find all the mods, if that's what you're trying to say... (Too many terms I do not know). If you're going to make an app, good! I think you're helping loads of people there.
Purr4me
appreciated but first I need to help myself and make sure data lands where it is needed. I ended up tracking down old applications from morrow wind modding website because most things now have code for skyrim and I need older code before skyrims data was introduced.things line Blender, Gmax, older versions of nifscope, archived there and other places. I can't even use the new programs on any older games as they are now. What has transpired over time has caused a massive influx of information built towards what appears as a legacy/ "OLDER Games", removal, making it impossible to mod them. I made a simple table for a friend in Nifscope as it is now, transferred it to 3dmax, ...would not load, transfered it to Gmax, it Identified the fallout3 "Default nif file..edited by nifscope , as a skyrim file format. that was it, I knew where and what took place. So skyrims in and everything in-between is out. A recompiling is needed. I tracked down the original scripts used for Oblivion "netImerse" plugins for moddling for 3dmax, and blender, and nifscope so I can fix some things.a tough road to haul. I'll get it done.kitty
