First if you think that this is way to big of a mod, take a breath, i know it is, probably not all of this will be achieved but i am going to try to get most of it done. Okay, i have started getting my self acquainted with blender and nifscope. I have used them before but now i am going to through up an idea which i will try to create. -Plot:-"Neptune", the idea is of a 6 story space ship with a crew of loyal men and women. They have returned from a near by galaxy with hopes of a warm welcome from the citizens of earth. When they get back (10 days or so into the game) they realize that their home land has been absolutely transformed into a large waste dump (capital waste land). In hopes of re-establishing communications the crew of the Neptune send down an emissary with a group of soldiers (near Megaton or Tenpenny Towers, depending on your choice prior). When you arrive in the town of choice the emissary is chatting with either Allister Tenpenny or Lucas Simms. Afterwards you will end up talking to the emissary and learning about a quest to join their ranks. The faction will be called "The Crew of the Neptune". Once you join, you will become a innate of the faction. you will be brought up to the Neptune via Drop Ship (suggestions for a name would be great!). Then you take a test to become a member, once you become a member you get your own sleeping quarters, and locker (hopefully a window room). -Ideas to make this faction unique:- Faction:Branching faction- allows a player to pursue different directions in the faction either ending up as the commander of The Neptune or Head Technician or Squad leader.- Three Paths i am hoping to include - Officer, Soldier, Technician- Each with different bonuses and perks for getting to the highest level example: Head Technician should get a plus 2 intelligence bonus with a plus 20 medicine and science bonus. while a Squad leader gets a plus 2 strength and plus 20 big guns and plus 20 meleeDeny promotions - to allow a player to choose if they want to take that path or wait for a better path to open up (the paths will still be available)Easy to switch paths - If you don't like being a mechanic then join the leagues of the soldiers NPCs:You can help npcs to get promotions or just sit back and watch them toil away scrubbing the floor. - This could help you as you gain a NPCs who are loyal to your character because you helped them achieve more- You may end up choosing a NPC that you helped out to be your loyal combat partner or navigation officer Each NPC hoping to have their own unique personality and schedule-sally may work late on Tuesdays and hit the pub early on Wednesdays-john may skip breakfast and flirt with cook Quests:The faction will be completely interior except for missions that will be in the capital wasteland, ideas for missions. each mission will be the same as another one the other paths choose. except each mission will vary in how your path approaches it. example: Aid for Big townTechnician- set up turrets and deliver well needed supplies to the citizens there.Officer- Set up a trade route that visits big town weeklySoldier- camp out for 3 days killing any threat, teaching them a lesson in how to handle their foes. Crashed Drop shipTechnician- Repair the ship with supplies scattered near byOfficer- Negotiate with a near by slaver camp to help youSoldier- Raid the near by slaver camp and steal their parts. I wish you all the best on the mod, and remember, keep your eye on the goal. alot of lofty mods get cancelled or just fade away as modders lose faith, patience and/or interest.
