Yevon08
Ill give this a try here.Maybe we get a thread with links that help out, maybe we get that killer idea. The scenario is the following (which I have asked in general discussion already):You have finished all the quests and DLC that there is, but still there is much morein the world for you to see. the Wasteland has many locations that do not have anyquests in them. You have reached level 30. You could start over, but... Some of you might enjoy the aimless exploring, but I for one need something to drive me to do it. Since there is nothing to do in the game at this point with moneyand equipment, there is no point exploring the places if you cannot do anything with the stuff you find there. So this request is: Make exploring and looting more interesting. Why to enter thatcave over there since you cannot get XP, all the items you find there are useless(you have trillion of them already waiting for something that aint in the game yet). If you think you know a mod that helps to this problem, be a sport and paste a link/name! :thanks:
spammster
use a maxlevel workaround, that way you keep leveling up and earn perks, gives ya a reason for exploring

Yevon08
Alright that is good idea spammster. So the leveling has been solved. With a mod you can get around the xp limit and keep developing your character. The second issue has not been yet covered enough :) So if you go exploring you can get xp futher, but what to do with all the items that you find during the exploration? I dont plan to pick up every tin can but if you find for example a nice weapon its kinda silly to leave it there in a world like this. Collecting should be far more rewarding when there are no more industry to produce items like before. Are there something that makes collecting more rewarding? (I dont mean to get more money, since money is useless). So in other words to make money more useful? Lets keep this going =)
bfg10k17
There are allready some "collect and sell" type mini quests in the game.Like the Nuka-cola quantum ladyThe Scribe in the National library(Broken steel) Scribe Rothchild who collects sensor modules and cameras.(Pitt) Ashurs wife collects Teddy bears for Mary I think making even more of this kind of quest would be cool. What do you think ? Yevon08
Not a bad idea. But then we come to the scenario:You really do not need any stimpaks, ammunition, weapons, and such as reward from those quests. you have so many of those at the end part of the quests line that you could have an army of your own. If you get more money as reward, what to do with that money? If you would have an army of your own, what to do with it? There should might be a need of a minigame for those armies where you could take your forces to attack somewhere, and if you do it, there should be some result of that. The equipment loot from a battle is useless. Unless there would be a mod that allows you to *recruit people with money* to join your army, buy them/equip them with the items that you have looted/bought. That way you would get a good place to spend all that money and equipment. But then there would be a need to do something with those recruited people other than roam randomly the Wasteland. I belive that we would need "player fotress" more integrated into the game than just added with a mod somewhere that alreadyhas all the "defences" set up. Give players the feeling of spending money to create something. And after it has been created there could be various random events that include attacking that fortress with different kind of forces to make use of those defences and events where you would need to take your forces out somewhere to attack. Something like this is the mod RTS i belive, but in that mod you dont use ingame money anywhere I belive? So money plays no role in getting that settlement up?
