ceiblue
I've had this game for almost two years now and everytime I try to get through it, some stupid glitch pops up dnd I quit. Well, I started playin again last week and while playing today, another stupid glitch decided to ruin my game. Ok, I'm at the mages guild in chorol and some **SNIP** NPC walks by and cast nighteye on me and now my screen permanetly has a blue tint. I looked at my PCs active effects and it show nighteye but it wont go away, I let the game sit for an hour, yet when I came back ,THE FRIKIN SCREEN WAS STILL BLUE!!! I've also tried using console commands to remove it but none have worked thus far. Both my current save games have been effected by this and now the game is ruined for me once again............ If anybody has had a simmilar problem or knows how to fix this, please help me out..... P.S. I striped him naked so I know its not somthing equiped... EDIT by LHammonds: Please refrain from using vulgar language.
madman132
I never even heard of a bug like that. Can you recall which Character buffed you? This may help with your current issue as well as with future problems: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11368 you can try to toggle your night eye off with this: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10331 First, you could try to dispel yourself; buy a dispel potion or a dispel spell and any buffs should go away. myrmaad
I highly doubt an NPC cast nighteye on you. Perhaps you could try one of the following:- Wait a few hours- Rest a while in a bed- Cast a Night-Eye spell or wear an item with a Night-Eye enchantment, than wait/unequip it- Use a Detect Life spell/item and wait/unequip it- Visit an altar- Reload a previous save
Pushkatu
One question: are you using any mods?
dezdimona
sounds like a mod issue to me too
Veilchen
I've had this game for a long time, and I've been playing and replaying it ever since then, especially because of the new mods. I've never, ever had a random NPC coming at me casting any spell whatsoever. Sure, I've had mod-issues, plenty of them, but never this. Maybe a more in-depth description of what, why, when, and which NPC could help out. Especially a description of the NPC and what you where doing at the time. Plus, what if any, mods are you using? Other than that, it sounds quite odd....
ceiblue
It was a little elf named contumeliorus florius in the charrol mages guild first floor. It looked like he cast it on himself but I was near him when he did it and all of a sudden i get a message saying ive got night eye and everything turns blue... LFact
I posted possible cause of your problem at BGS forum. However, I don't know if any NPC would cast toggle-able Night eye on self ever.
David Brasher
You got a message that said you had night-eye? How very odd! You are not talking about the icon in the upper right of your screen are you? I tend to go for the heavy-handed and effective approach. We can play intellectual detective for a long time and perhaps never find an answer. I say amputate! Amputate! Amputate! Systematically disable mods until your problem goes away. When you find the bad mod, remove it and possibly delete it, and send a disgruntled message to the mod author. Re-enable the rest of your mods, and you can get back to having fun.
