scrivener07
Is there a way to reset my data folder without uninstalling-reinstalling. Like a download of the vanilla GOTY unmodded data folder? I screwed myslef trying to get FCOM to work, it was unpleasant.
LFact
Move all plugin/resources to somewhere else, except:- vanilla master/plugins and .bsa files(including DLC)- Data\Music- Data\Shaders- Data\Video Then, install mods back one-by-one. However, if you replaced any of vanilla music/shader/video with custom ones, you may need to reinstall your game.

bben46
Contents of a clean install \data folder Music (folder)Shaders (folder)Video (folder)Credits (text) Oblivion - Meshes.bsaOblivion - Misc.bsaOblivion - Sounds.bsaOblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsaOblivion - Voices1.bsaOblivion - voices2.bsaOblivion.esm After reinstalling your game it is a good idea to make a backup of this for just these kind of situations. Just copy the contents to a new folder outside of your Oblivion folder.
scrivener07
Will do and its great advice for everyone. I expected this to happen. FCOM warned me I was playing with fire and I will get burned. My experience with FCOM- OOO, MMM, Frans was vague instructions and broken links on all the websites and the readmes :wallbash:
