Odd Crash.

Hey guys, I've come into another problem. A major problem reguarding CTD.

 

My Oblivion was working fine, aside from my AI being a little buggy. I got to an Oblivion portal, went into the plane of Oblivion and NOTHING attacked me. Only after I attacked it would it attack me.

 

So I thought;

 

"Okay, that's it. Time for a reinstall."

 

At that time I had a number of mods running, perhaps even 50+.

 

Now I only have FCOM running, and it crashes when it opens, but not when I disable all my mods.

 

I have used BOSS to show you my load order. Is there anything I might have done wrong to cause such a crash? Please and thank you in advance for making my life so much easier.

Yes. I am patched to the latest patch. 1.2.0416English. I've tried to repatch since you suggested that, but it said, ''Old File not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match."

 

I'm terribly confused.

The issue with enemies not attacking is an animation and AI problem usually coming from too many spawns in the same cell. You might get a few attacking and the others standing around waiting for their turn because the AI can't process them all.

 

Perhaps try one of MMM's lower spawn rates plugins. This game can only handle a certain amount of actors on screen at once and won't process their AI until the others have moved on or are dead.

 

Also, sometimes it depends on your system how much can be in action at the same time. The overhauls included in FCOM use a lot of processing power on thier own and when you add them together it increases resource usage even more.

 

I'm not using FCOM at the moment but if you go here you can get a lot of info regarding the correct way to install it. If the game crashes as soon as it starts you are most likely missing a Master file.

Do you have a Bashed Patch? It should show up in the BOSS log if I remember correctly and if you don't have one FCOM will not run properly and you will get crashes and other strange behaviour.

 

Are you using the Game of the Year Edition? You will already be patched to the latest which is why you get that message.

Thank you my friends for all your great help and suggestions. I went through my load order and did the trail and error technique - It worked, after about an hour of mucking with it. It turned out my Tamerial Travelers was messing with my loading. Not to worry, I fixed it up and Oblivion works well. It's just reloading allllll my damn mods.
