Fallout 4 Won't Feature Ron Perlman?

As a rule, the more lines a character has, the better-voice-acted they are. For instance, the character with the most lines in Fallout 3 was your dad, and they got Liam goddamned Neeson for that.

So I'm not too worried about the VA for the player character. Whoever it is, they'll probably be at least half-decent. If not, I'll just turn on subtitles and chop his audio out with the GECK ^.^

You can hire the best actors in the world but if the dialogue they're given is garbage then the result is garbage. Take Oblivion, they got Patrick Stewart to do the emperor and he phoned that performance in, he sounded like he had better things to do.

I thought Liam Neeson was pretty decent in FO3, better than Chandler Bing as Benny in NV anyway, even if the dialogue as a whole was far better in NV

This, and I personally hate the character of the Dad in FO3 (like I shoot him with any weapon I have handy whenever I encounter him hate him) and prefer Benny as a character (although I pretty much always kill him too), but Liam Neesen was at least trying or he's so good he doesn't have to try. His performance was pretty much flawless.

Re: voiced player character v. Ron Perlman

I'd rather they spent the budget on better writers than hiring famous actors to voice characters (they'd be better hiring professional voice actors than movie actors anyway). Still it might not feel fallout without a Ron Perlman narration.
