Deleted2021903User
I am gathering all the mods I intend to use on my first play through on Skyrim. I have downloaded NMM, BOSS, and TES5Edit for assistance. Whenever I start BOSS, it states that the official DLC .esp & update.esm files have "dirty edits". What does this mean that they have "dirty edits"; are they bugs that could ruin saves? I have read that TES5E can "clean" these files if needed. My question is since I have already downloaded the unofficial DLC patch fixes, is it necessary to "clean" the files? Thanks.
ZeroKing
You should still clean them.
Deleted2021903User
Can you tell me what these "dirty edits" are supposed to be and how they would effect the game? I do not want to be modifying files until I have more knowledge of the process.

Deleted2021903User
Look here: http://www.creationkit.com/TES5Edit_Cleaning_Guide_-_TES5Edit#Dirty_Edits Thanks for the link. That was much easier than I thought it would be. Boss has reported the files are now clean. Gopher did a through job explaining the process.
