fallout 3 error

Hello,

 

i have bought the Fallout 3 game of the year edition today and had a quick go in it then i decided to apply some mods and i get these erorrs and i have no idea why.

and no its not the mods becuase when i disabled them it still popped up

 

when i try to run fallout 3, i click play an error comes up it goes as follows

 

Fallout 3.exe - Ordinal Not found

The ordinal 5360 could not be located in the dynamic link library xlive.dll

 

i have no idea what those words mean can somebody help me ? please

You need to install either FOMM (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=640) and use the 'install tweaker' option to place a fake xlive.dll.

I came across this error just yesterday as I started playing FO3 again after many months away from it. It is very shoddy work from bethesda/microsoft to be greeted with such an unhelpful error when trying to simply play a game/install a patch.
