Requesting original meshes folder

Hi, after some unexplained modding, and playing the game well into it.

I would like to return the meshes folder to its original, seems like some stuff was replaced.

Rather then reinstalling it, would like to keep the saved games intact.

Anyone can possibly upload the meshes folder or better yet

Oblivion>Data>meshes>character>_male

the last one is the folder i need...the original shouldn't be too big.

If anyone could it would be appreciated, Thank You.

Uploading any copyrighted material - including any parts of the original game is against site policy. You will get banned for that.

Now that the official notification is out of the way, even if you did get them it wouldn't work. The meshes you installed for your mods are still there and they will overwrite the vanilla meshes each time you start the game, UNTIL you remove them completely. Just unchecking the esp for a mod does not remove the meshes it installed. You must go into the meshes folder and find them and remove them manually.

From now on, convert mods to OMOD format. when an OMOD is enabled ,it automatically installs the mod along with all meshes, textures etc in the right places. then when it is disabled, it removes everything completely, and keeps it in the OMOD folder for future use if you want to put it back.

Not at all. When you install a mod with new meshes it dosn't actually replace the original with the new, it overwrites on game loading. Every time you start your game, it loads the original meshes from the bsa files. then if there is mod that replaces one (or more) they are then overwritten by the mod meshes during loading. The originals, in the bsa on your hard drive, are never actually touched.

When you remove the mod meshes, then the original meshes in the bsa are no longer overwritten on load and they are used. The original meshes are never removed (unless you do something with the bsa files - not a good idea.)

Any item in the game requires both meshes and textures. Think of meshes as the shape of the item, and texture as the covering - like a coat of paint. If you delete the meshes, and not the textures. there is no shape for the paint to be put on, so it is invisible. (one way for something to be invisible). find the textures associated with the mod in the textures folder and delete them also.

If you have the mesh without the texture, you will usually see a purple object - default undefined texture. If you have neither, a yellow geometric block with a pale violet exclamation point inside. Or if you have installed the unofficial patch, the yellow 'WTF! Im a missing mesh' star.

From the wiki FAQ section: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...ommon_Issues.29

Missing Textures or Meshes

If your ArchiveInvalidation.txt file does not contain the proper entries, or is in the wrong location, etc., you may notice that some or all of the textures you installed with a mod will not work properly. This usually shows up as items becoming invisible or appearing purple when playing the game. See the section How do I install mods? in this FAQ for more information.

If you're still having problems with invisible, purple, or black items, please see ArchiveInvalidation Explained.

If you're seeing large yellow exclamation marks, this is NOT an invalidation problem. It indicates missing meshes, which almost always means you either did not install all of the files needed for a mod or you installed them in the wrong place. It may also mean that one of your mods uses a BSA file that is not not registered in your Oblivion.ini (or forced to load some other way).

This is all very helpful, Thank you.

I don't think custom armor was worn, I didn't mod enough to try any out.

The only change I did was replace the 2 original nif files with 2 different ones of the same name.

Therefore changing it in-game.

Edit : Still no solution though, would uninstalling the game delete saved files?
