This is the primary reaction chamber feeding intomain engineering.. http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e66/havoc211/progress_102010_1.jpg ..and this is what it's looking like in place at the moment. It consists of large and small segments at the moment. The smaller segments will wind up being anchor points connecting the larger portions to the dorsal spine.The half-round purple and gold section in view will end up being the seat these sections rest in. I've always been more of a Star Wars geek and not so much a Trekkie. (Yes, I have a lightsaber; actually three of them and one is an actual laser beam that cost in the triple digits. Just trying to establish some geek cred here.) How do you know so precisely what each and every deck looks like? Are you making up the furnishings yourself based on the dimensions and known purpose of each deck, or is there a graphical representation out there somewhere of every single deck of the ship complete down to the shape and positioning of each chair and table? Considering that hardcore Trek fans are exactly the sort of people who ask about the volume of potable water storage, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if there is a website out there that's got the whole ship modeled. But if there is, how did THEY know what it looked like? Somehow it doesn't seem possible to me that during the course of the show, viewers managed to get glimpses of every single part of every deck. Back in the 70's they published blueprints of the Enterprise. I don't know if that is what he is using as a base and enhancing from the show visuals or what. I'd have to dig mine out to look...
