Obtaining a list of all installed mods - is there a shortcut?

So I hit the dreaded limit of mods that can be installed at once, and I figured it'd be a good time to go and compile a list of mods and sort them by priority so that I can easily determine what I can safely remove without affecting my game as I add a few mods in and consider what I'll be running for my next character.

And it occurred to me that there's likely already some shorthand way to obtain a list of mods, so I figured I'd ask in case anyone knows what it is.

Also, I'd like to suggest that the nexus mod manager get some sort of "print out a list of all the mods I'm using" feature added in because oh my GOD that would be useful in diagnosing issues with mod conflicts. Yet there doesn't appear to be a section of these forums dedicated to the manager or to suggestions for it, so I figured I'd ask while I'm at it.

Hi,

I believe you can find the answer to your question here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/583662-important-load-order-and-you/. Scan to the third topic "What this means ..." and there should be instructions upon how to find the file path to your load order list, and some good information in general.

Once you've located it, before changing anything, remember to save your load order list somewhere else!!!

Hope that helps.

If you use NMM exclusively this utility may be of use to you in finding some conflicts between mods. It has the ability to scan the archives of both installed and uninstalled mods within the NMM setup and show you which files would override something or already override something else. In the right click menu is a feature that allows you to export the entire mod list including non-plugin mods and uninstalled mods.

Also NMM has a feature where it can export your installed plugins list which after running BOSS or LOOT would be your load order.

I'd think it's best to look at the plugin list instead of the mod list itself. Especially since you can merge plugins to make more space using this: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37981 and bashed patches from Wyrebash.

For example, without merged plugins and bashed patches, my load order would have comprised of 291 esp/esm. However, since I merged compatible ones, I reduced it back to 255. There's basically almost no limit to the mods you can install, depending of course of the type of mods you would put.
