Jupiter0026
Fix found ** For future readers: NMM will not restore files, it will simply remove them, but this is still considered messy and isn't recommended. When you're reinstalling Skyrim, in NMM use the uninstall all active mods option under tools. Out of curiosity, does anybody know where this information is stored? Is it the NMM servers that detect you've got missing files, or is there a hidden directory somewhere that isn't uninstalled with Skyrim and NMM? It's really an annoyance to click through 400+ dialogue boxes, some of which take longer to finalize than others.
masterpoe
i am here to learn the ANSWER to this question as well the auto re install feature is making me no longer USE nexus mod managerand i truly like the program very much but it's reloading mods i have DELETEDthat are causing me to CTD so it's completely working against me. Another problem:I am a Premium member and even though i am logged in it's asking meto log in.... that and when i try to use the manager to download a Mod it turns semi transparent BLUEand basically just hangs... or tells me i'm not logged in or i need to be a premium Member again. SINCE i have DELETED NMM my SKYRIM has not crashed to desktop even ONCEand it's unstopable/ unbreakable and works 100% BETTER except for installing mods manuallywhich SUCKS and only works randomly .... SO for now, it's better for "me" NOT to use NMM sadly.
chanchan05
to jupiter:Read carefully. NMM will now UNINSTALL the missing mods's files. It's not restoring, it's removing. Anyway, if you plan to uninstall Skyrim, next time, open up NMM first, then tools>uninstall all active mods. It will deactivate and remove the mods installed to your game, and you can safely delete Skyrim and all it's components without any trouble from NMM. When you reinstall it, just let NMM re-detect it and it will work normally. Without the problems you are now encountering. Deactivate the mods in NMM first before uninstalling Skyrim. Do not delete them manually. to masterpoe: make sure you are using latest NMM.
