Feltorn Von Dentai
Yes, I know this sounds like a stupid question, yes its probably already been answered, yes I have tried to find answers and no I havn't been able to. I see it everywhere, OMOD this and OMOD that, OMOD conversion data and so on and so fourth but I have no idea what the hell OMOD even is! At first I thought it was some kind of program, but it obviously isn't because I can't find a download for it anywhere. So, WHAT THE HELL IS OMOD??? Can someone PLEASE tell me what the hell OMOD is???
AznAks
Their files, like zipped ones, containing a bunch of stuff, usually oblivion mods in this case.and they just work with OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager) to activate them rather than havinga bunch of meshes/texture/etc. folders and files in your Oblivions Data folder. Some mods come in that form, others don't but (OMOD conversion data) you said lets you create themagain through OBMM... bben46
OMOD is a special format for mods, used only as an optional part of OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager)When a mod is converted to OMOD format, it allows OBMM to install and remove it.When a mod installed in the normal way (not OMOD)is removed - usually just by disabling the esp file in the data list, it actually leaves a lot of stuff behind - such as meshes, textures and sound files. These orphan files can cause problems including crashes, missing texture and missing mesh errors - invisible parts, purple objects, yellow blocks or WTF star.Using OMOD allows the entire mod to be completely removed, including all mesh texture and other files. And preserves the mod in the OMOD folder in case you want to reinstall again. OBMM is available here: http://timeslip.chorrol.com/obmm_download.htmlIt is not a mod and does not install like a mod, so read the install instructions first.
