I have tried installing different texture mods like Skyrim 2k textures and ENB and none of them are changing the textures in game. I have tried installing them with NMM and TPC. I have also tried installing them manually but that did not work. I am 100% sure they are in the correct directory. I have also tried editing skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini but that did not change anything. I also tried reinstalling the game but that did not have a effect. I have no other mods installed.

Here are the list of mods I am trying to use. The majority are not working and are not changing anything in game.

  • Detailed Terrain and Tree LoD
  • Enhanced Blood Textures
  • Enhanced Distant Terrain
  • High Quality LODs - HQLODs - Meshes Hi-Res
  • HQ Milky way galaxy - HQ 4k milky way galaxy v2
  • Immersive Weapons
  • Project Reality - Climates Of Tamriel-V3
  • Pure Waters - 0_Pure Waters 4-7 Legendary
  • Real Clouds - Real Clouds Version 2_0
  • Real Ice
  • Realistic Smoke and Embers - RSE High v1_4
  • RealVision ENB 251b
  • Remove Ambient Interior Fog - Remove Ambient Interior Fog Final Version
  • Revamped Exterior Fog - Revamped Exterior Fog
  • Skyrim Flora Overhaul - Skyrim Flora Overhaul Basic Edition v186
  • Skyrim HD - 2K Textures - SHD FULL - Dungeons
  • Skyrim HD - 2K Textures - SHD FULL - Landscape
  • Skyrim HD - 2K Textures - SHD FULL - Misc
  • Skyrim HD - 2K Textures - SHD FULL - Riften
  • Skyrim HD - 2K Textures - SHD FULL - Towns
  • SkyUI
  • Unofficial Skyrim Patch
  • W.A.T.E.R - Water And Terrain Enhancement Redux

Can no one help me? I have tried everything to fix this problem but nothing is working. None of the texture mods are working and I am stuck with the vanilla textures. Does anyone know why this is happening?

You didn't say what exactly you edited in Skyrim.ini, but just in case...

Go to Documents/My Games/Skyrim, and open the Skyrim.ini. Under the 'Archives' section you may find bInvalidateOlderFiles=0. Turn the 0 to a 1, then save. If it's not there, then add the line in.

It's worked for a few people.

Did not work. I also tried adding "bEnableFileSelection=1" to skyrimpref.ini and "sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsa, HighResTexturePack03.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa" to skyrim.ini. I am still stuck with the original textures. I did get the other mods working so now the only mod I am having trouble with is skyrim HD 2k textures.
