magickman12 Posted October 29, 2009 Share Posted October 29, 2009 I was playing with my lvl 42 Breton and fast-traveled, when the screen came back on, my character was viewing life with night eye. Looking at my spell effects tab, I saw it was from an ability called Cat's Eye, something a Tabaxi has, but I am not a tabaxi. I unchecked the Tabaxi mod and the Tabaxi Partners Mod, but I still have Night Eye, now it is just listed as a "script effect" on my effects tab. Is there anything I can do because it is really spoiling my game? I don't like being color blind. :verymad: That mod is not getting my endorsement. bben46 Posted October 29, 2009 Share Posted October 29, 2009 Just unchecking a mod does NOT remove it. It only stops the esp part from loading. All of the mesh and texture files are still there. To get rid of them you must go through the files in the meshes and textures folders and find anything that came from that mod. Then do not erase - MOVE it- to a new folder outside of Oblivion - in case you remove the wrong file you will be able to move it back. If you need a list of the files installed by the mod, look in the zipped folder you downloaded (you did keep it didn't you?) Hopefully the files will be in a separate sub folder in each folder with the name of the mod they came from. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

magickman12 Posted October 30, 2009 Author Share Posted October 30, 2009 Ok, so I got the Form ID and tried to remove it but it came up with a message saying the ID wasn't known. I deleted the power from the mod itself but it is still there, now labled as "script effect". I would delete the textures adn meshes, etc. but I don't think they apply to powers/spells etc. just creatures, objects and the like. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
