Clothing to Armor

Recommended Posts

I recently downloaded a mod that added some clothes to Oblivion, but I would like to change them to armors. I don't want to make an armored version of them, is just change them into armors so that they can protect me while I wear them.

Is it possible ??

Thanks in advance,

Beradrin

P.S.:Yes, it must be the must noobish question ever... :wallbash:

1. You will need to use Construction Set.

- Run CS, open Oblivion.esm(It is needed for making your plugin).

- In Object Window, click on 'Armor'. You can see list of all armors in vanilla game.

- Right click -> New. You can make new armor. Remember to set all models to existing clothes meshes.

- When you done, save your plugin. If you want to get it in-game without using console command, you will need to put the item somewhere in the world(or make any merchant sell it).

2. If you want to convert your clothes to armor in-game, you can use this mod(requires OBSE).

Thank you, but I'm trying to edit a existing mod... is the procedure the same or do I have to do something more ??

you will still need to follow Lfacts process. You will need to create a new ID for each item, recopy the mesh for each item and set the weight.

since its an existing mod, after loading oblivion you need to make the mod the active mod first.once completed

hit data

scroll down to the mod click on it

click save, answere yes to the option in the window

changes will then be saved to mod.

if your a newb at this and the CS I'd learn the basics before attempting what you want.
