Switch
whats with that sermon from the temple, dont remember which one. vivec is practicing his giant form, and molag bal has his army cut off his FEET, then proceeds to marry vivec, and as far as i can tell theyre both GUYS (if so called gods can have a gender) is this meant to be taken literally or some sort of hidden meaning?

DreamOfTheRood
I completely agree with your assessment on the bizarre qualities of many of Morrowind's literature. I think they're absolutely wonderful. As fas as short stories are concerned, The Trap and The Axe Man are my two favorites. Both exhibit a very macabre aspect, which I enjoyed immensely. I can't tell you about Captain's Fishy Sticks yet, as I have not run across it. Could you tell me where it is located - as long as it is not a major spoiler of course. Marxist ßastard
As for the sermon in which Molag Bal has his way with Vivec, this is just a myth to explain the creation of the atronachs. It is common Temple teaching that Vivec is a sexually androgenous, because his Anticipation is female. To hold true to the whole "OMG GOOD DAEDRA SI TEH TRIBOONAL!!! GOOD DAEDRA SI GOOD, THERFOUR TRIBOONAL SI BETTAR!!!!!11!" thing that Temple worshippers have going on, Vivec has no defined gender. Also, no Daedroth has a defined sex. Azura is represented as a female only bacause she chooses so, and Malacath is only male for the same reason. Their genders can easily be switched to match a given situation. So what have we learned? Well, Kirdbride is one sick male without a father.
Marxist ßastard
This should explain the 36 Sermons of Vivec well enough.
