Missing NIF files, can't fix an edit

Hello, all.

I'm new to the oblivion CS, and I'm noticing a few problems.

First of all, while I have downloaded the CS itself, I don't seem to have any of the NIF files to use. When I used the morrowind construction set, the NIF files were on a disk, accessable only when the disk was in the drive, and not able to be downloaded (I don't think).

I downloaded the CS (version 1.2.404) from here:

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11367

That said, I decided to make some attempts at very, very basic modding. By that I mean editing weapons already stored in the data files, changing the item ID in order to create a new weapon. I was attempting to make a two handed version of the Ebony Blade artifact. However, when I draw the weapon, it is still displayed in its scabbard at my character's side, and he seems to be holding an invisible two handed sword.

I read that I need to "change the NiStringsExtraData from 'BackWeapon' to 'SideWeapon' in NifSkope", but after some looking, I can't find any way to change this within the construction set.

Any help would be appreciated a lot!

If memory serves, you use BSA Commander to unpack your textures and meshes from "Oblivion - Meshes" and "Oblivion - Textures" which are BSA files sitting in the same place you keep your mods. Shivering Isles meshes and textures are in separate files there.

True except that I think they both share the same texture and mesh folders
