  1. Your mobo should be compatible with what you have listed. I would go for a different brand like sapphire or so just because I've heard horror stories trying to RMA through XFX. Also for $50 dollars more you can get a 6950 2GB which can possibly unlock to a 6970. As for windows, I would just get W7 x64 (32 bit is pointless now). Your programs should run fine in W7 or in compatibility mode.
  2. Honestly you should build your own as previous posters have said (or get a friend to). You could get a very powerful gaming rig for that budget and have quality components too. For example, a sandy bridge i5 build would look as follows: mobo 125-130 CPU 210 RAM 80 PSU 80 495-500 Then add a nice graphics card (~$300), HDD (50-80) and a case (80). Well within your budget and much higher performance than what was listed previously. Also Windows 7 professional can be had for $30 if you have a .edu email. (i.e. student)
  3. http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/20/skyrim-mostly-a-directx-9-game-pc-mods-could-make-it-to-conso/ Ya, unfortunately seems to be true.
  4. WIP posted, edited original post
  5. The problem is that if anyone would to do this I think they would finish just as Skyrim is coming out, but thats just my thought. (I agree that it would look good)
  6. You need to edit the normal map texture. Open it up in Photoshop or Gimp and go to channels, look for alpha (create a new channel if there isn't an alpha channel) then make it black or a really dark grey. In NifScope, you need to make sure that the texture mode is set to apply modulate not highlight.
  7. Maybe this: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=32865
  8. I wasn't saying rip if from the game (you cant anyway as it isn't out yet) but I put it up for an idea, which is not against the rules.
  9. Kinda like this . . . http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17032
  10. I know its for a different game but there is going to be a "Dead Space Armor" for DA2, could be used for ideas for anyone wanting/thinking of making this. edit: i guess I'll add a picture http://nexus404.com/Blog/wp-content/uploads2/2011/01/Isaac-Armor-Dragon-Age-2.jpg
  11. I wasn't trying to say that you made it up or was lying, I was genuinely curious. Though now thinking about it, it could have been ripped from a beta or something. Sorry if it came across that I was trying to call you out.
  12. I'm curious how there is a rip if the game isn't even out yet. . .
  13. Edit: so I guess nobody has any other pictures of this outfit. Not matter I decided to give it a go anyway. Here is a WIP shot I figured I'd share with you guys, what do you think? http://i838.photobucket.com/albums/zz310/mcole254/3D%20stuff/lineageWIP1.jpg here is the reference image I'm going off of http://belleschoses.b.e.pic.centerblog.net/qnb3ditk.jpg
  14. You should post pictures, people having to google it themselves doesn't help the chances of it being made
  15. I think its this http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11105&navtag=file/images.php?id=11105&tab=3

  18. Air cooling: Pros: -cheaper -no maintenance -good cooling (based on what you get ie venom, d-14, megahalem) Cons: -good coolers are big and heavy (the can block ram slots) -based on what fans you have, can be quite noisy Water Pro: -unbeatable temperature performance (compared to air) -customizable -based on setup can take up less room on/over the mobo Cons: -cost -complexity -require some maintenance (though using distiled water and PT nuke there have been those who have gone 2 years without cleaning and no growth) -chance of leaking (though if you properly set up your loop, this is a very low probability now a days) Keep in mind that this is purely subjective and I do not consider the prepackaged water cooling (Corsair h50/70) under the water cooling category.
  19. I thought that the old i5 could still work on the new p67 chipset as long as the socket is a LGA 1155 not 1156 Also Zephyr Kronos, keep in mind that buying a blue ray drive does not guarantee that you can play blue ray movies. It seems at the moment there is only one software what will do blue ray playback well and that is Power DVD (which should come with your drive). However its a crap shoot if it will actually work or just BSOD on you. (I know because I have this exact drive and have tried it and got the BSOD, though not too surprised seeing its crappy Power DVD)
  20. I would just start by copying the weight from the body to the armor in the respective spot. That ususally gives a good starting point for weighting with not too much clipping. As for the bones just removes all the ones that aren't in the vanilla skeleton.
  21. Kinda requested already here: http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/284076-req-armor-would-you-consider-making-this-slof/
  22. Its been requested before, I'm not sure if it got anywhere though.
  23. Again its a mash-up. There is a post in this thread that actually says what most of the pieces are, if you can find that picture in this thread (actually there are two within that post) then shortly after should be your answers. As for the cape, I've never seen it before.
  24. Unfortunately as much as most of us hate it, the best thing is to learn the basics of the program first before you try to dive in and make a full piece of armor. Like LHammonds said the noob to pro tutorial is where you should start. This will teach you the basics of navigating to program as well as simple perimitives and modeling techniques.
