Fallout crashing my computer

I use a Targus Traveler Coolpad for airflow. Not as thick as a pack of cigarettes, though... maybe I should have gotten the standard model, rather than the travel one.

As far as cleaning it goes, I'm not sure I have the guts to actually open it.

What I did instead was buy a can of air and spray it into the intake and exhaust ports (and any other openings I found). It looked like a whole lotta dust came out when I took it to the intake port.

After running/idling for about 30 minutes after cleaning, these are my temperatures.

It's looking better.

I'm going to try running Fallout for a while and see how it does.

Since I don't feel comfortable taking it apart and cleaning it myself, if the problem persists, I'll probably take it to Best Buy and see what they can do with it. It's still covered by the two year protection plan I bought from them.

I can play with the power settings to a certain extent--it comes with pre-set configurations to choose from and the option to change the details... it might be enough to change it from "High Performance" to "HP Recommended" or "Power Saver."

However, I don't really know what bios is, or how to use it to change my fan speed.

these temps look a lot better, so it most likely is/was caused by dirt.

I'm not sure if dirt is covered by warrenty, but in either case it shouldn't be that expensive to have it cleaned (if you pay for it i expect something around 50 bucks for it, since its annoying work and absolutely not comparable to a PC, where you just have to open the case and can access everything)
