Having Trouble Importing To & Exporting From, Blender

Hello,

I am trying to make my own armour for Fallout New Vegas out of existing armours/clothing from the game but I have run into a few problems.

I have looked at two different tutorials for this, though they were for Fallout 3 I believe that does not matter (I could be wrong), they did not address three key points:

1. I'm not entirely sure what I have to select/deselect when Importing the .nif files (see first image)

2. Same as above, though for exporting them (see second image)

3. Once the armour is finished, do I have to import a skeleton before exporting and if so, same as questing 1.

I have no problem editing the meshes once they are imported the tutorials were also a little vague on exactly what to do with NifScope and there was no mention of textures and if they are needed,

when Importing into Blender I chose the relevant texture but I'm not sure if it applies it to the mesh and so I don't need to textures or do I need to keep the textures of the original armour in there relevant directory.

Sorry if this makes no sense, I don't know how else to put it.

Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks.

P.S. If it is easier for someone to just make the armour meshes for me that would be great, I've only recently jumped into modelling, I'm a level designer, not an art designer.

1. Import: Since you are doing armour meshes, you do not need "Import Animation".

What I use for importing: "Import Extra Nodes" "Combine NiNodes + Shapes Into Single Mesh" and "Animate". On the right side, everything except "Realign Bone Tail + Root" and "Apply Skin Deformation" This works well for me.

2. Exporting: Add "Stripify Geometries" "Smoothen Inter-Object Seams" "Combine Materials to Increase Performance "

Under Collision Options, use "Cloth" instead of "Wood"

Shader Options add: "Shadow Map"

After you have exported your mesh, you need to open the file in NifSkope and add the "BSShaderPPLightingProperties"

After you have created your armour mesh, it will have to be parented and weighted to a skeleton.

There are many tutorials available in Fallout3, Fallout:NewVegas and Obilivion that you can download for help.
