Disappointed

You should DL it, it fixes a lot of boresome things!

As for my experience with the matron, it went all regular, found the journal, read it, was a bit sad about imagining the mead hall all in blood (i have Bloodmoon for Morrowind and i loved the mead hall ^^)

Then i tought it was time for revenge, but...I couldn't even imagine how this weak monster could have done all that rampage since i killed it with my enchanted blunt...too easy!

Oh and also, can somebody tell me HOW the matron managed to come from Solstheim to go in Cyrodiil? Took a ship? swam? Or did she took Dwemer Airlines? (okay i'll never say that kind of joke again, i sware...)

Strange that you guys saw the matron with the bluish chameleon effect around her. Everytime I fought her, it seemed that she looked just like a normal troll, only oversized. Or maybe I just killed her so fast that I really didn't get a look at her. IMO, I find fighting a regular minotaur more difficult than I found fighting the matron; it just wasn't a memorable fight at all other than the location.

First time I fought her she had the appropriate shaders. Second time she did not.

Needless to say, I stomped her face in. I was pretty excited nevertheless; I completely cleaned out Morrowind and its expansions back in the day... I feel like I finally finished what I started, Beowulf-style.

I had heard people talking about the Uderfrykte Matron and had been to Dive Rock a couple of times. I always meant to go back and play that quest someday.

But it didn't work out right. My level 43 mage was dashing pell-mell across Cyrodiil to reach the location of an important play-test. The music changed and I heard a noise behind me. I summoned my daedroth and turned to face the creature which had already fallen and injured itself a couple of times chasing me on steep mountains. My daedroth hit it a couple of times and I hit it with three fire/drain health spells and it was dead! I was sad. I was in a hurry to get someplace, but I was expecting an epic boss battle. I didn't even get hit once.

I will have to go back and play the quest at leisure with a low-level character.

What were your experiences with the Uderfrykte Matron?

Well the easy way is to turn up the difficulty unless you have done that. I make the game interesting by using a level slowing MOD and turning up the difficulty and seeing how low of a level I can finish the whole Oblivion game without doing SI.

it seems you encountered the rare glitch included in the mod - the blue flashing effect is made by a script, and occasionally that script doesn't activate for the fight
