Deleted1575926User
Hey, I'm a new user here and always been interested in oblivion mods, seeing as I played it out both on Xbox and PC and kinda getting bored of the other games I have finished while waiting for new releases, seems like oblivion mods is a logical step to prolonging the game. However, although I have used some mods before and tried out a few things (mostly armor skins and whatnot), I'm kinda confused as to what to look for. So, I'm wondering if you guys can recommend some mods that can make the game more interesting. Thanks PS, is there a body mod out there for both male and female characters? Just to make them look overall better, seeing as they are so dated by now. Doesn't have to be nude lol.
Pronam
Welcome to the nexusforums, Noccifer. You might want to take a look at the list of lists: LINK
Lord Garfield
You should look for mods with new content, and pick things that reflect towards your intrests, personally I like pirate mods alot. But heres some pretty neat ones: - Crowded Cities Mod- Crowded Roads Mod- Armamentum (Or something like that), it gives ALOT of new weapons. Just three mods that tweaks the game so that its abit more fun. More people to whack and more things to whack with ^^. Right, and 28 Days is really entertaining too, but it requires obse. Methinks its on obse.silverlock.org unless Im wrong, something with silverlock.org anyways. Might wanna make your own mods too, like tiny tweaks and such. Pherhaps adding some new spells. Frenzy spells are always fun.
grmblf
As Pronam said, don't expect a full mod list that would fit entirely your tastes, there's a lot of mods and a lot of lists of mods, you must search for them with some criteria; consider what's more important for you and then search for that kind of mods. There are mods that only deal with textures, making everything looks more 'detailed', others replace current human bodies, others add weapons, armor or clothes, and others add nothing but make the game much more interesting, like fatigue mods, others alter combat moves and techniques and others mess with spells... there's a lot to choose from. As I've said, consider what's more important for you and then try out those mods. If there's so much stuff you want to try out (as this woul probably happen to you) then just remember not trying all them at once and try each one separately so you could know that mod works for you. Read the readme and un/installation procedures for each mod and go ahead, there's a lot of interesting stuff to try out!

bben46
Welcome to TheNexus. We now have over 17,500 mods for Oblivion alone. you could spend all of your time just downloading mods and not playing the game. Please accept a little advice from one who has been there (and back) Don't install a bunch of mods all at once. The time you think you will save will be more than spent in troubleshooting to find the mod that is causing your game to crash. load one at a time and test first. Also, before you have a bunch of mods, load and install OBMM (Oblivion Mod manager) available here: http://timeslip.chorrol.com/obmm_download.html And OBSE (Oblivion Script Extender) here: http://obse.silverlock.org/ These are not mods, but utility programs that will make it much easier. OBMM allows you to work with the mods, set load order and much mor outside the game - very handy. And OBSE is required for many mods - the game will crash if you try to run a mod that requires OBSE without OBSE. Be sure to read the install instructions as these are not mods and do not install like mods. When you have any problems or questions, we are here to help.
