ampd
Hey, quick noob question. I downloaded a couple mods and they seemed to work fine, I saw a post saying for vista mods get a little screwy, so I re-installed my oblivion to just the c:\ area, not program files (as it says) .. works fine. Now I just have a problem with the DMRA mod (Ya ya .. pixelated boobs and ass never looked so good :P) So I managed to get the body to change to DMRA by sheer luck (I have no idea what I'm doing) but the 'skimpy clothes' it says it comes with I cannot get to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated :P I'm not running any mods so nothing is conflicting. TY in advance for help, sorry for such a stupid question but I fail at this, and am extremely bored. :( My goal from this post is to get DMRA skimpy clothes working, sexy walk working, tan lines working, sexy npcs working, and the one that makes characters face more attractive working, if anyone can help with this I will GREATLYYYY appreciate it.. ty. *EDIT** My main problem actually is probably the fact that I don't know where to place the files (the instructions aren't specific enough) .. if anyone could help in that general area I could probably figure the rest out myself, odd that there is no guides stickied in this forum, ty. ampd
Really? no help? all I'm asking should be very easy to answer for someone who has knowledge in this area.. I simply wanna be questing in oblivion, while having the eye candy of tits and ass.. is that too much to ask? edit** ugh forget it, just close this topic I'll figure it out myself, I know these mods are quick to ban here, wouldn't be suprised if I get banned without a warning for bumping before 24 hours, god forbid.. DavidBudreck
Are we a little impatient? Getting pissed off because nobody helped you in two hours? If you extract whatever mod to a folder, then examine the directory structure contained within, that will show you where to put things. Generally, you can just copy and past right into the data folder. That is a lot easier. For instance, Generally mods have a "Data" folder in them. Just copy that and past it into your Oblivion folder. Windows will inform you that one already exists and do you want to continue. Saying "YES" here will merge the folders, not destroy your original. Or, they will have two folders, Meshes and Textures. These go inside the data folder inside the Oblivion folder. Same routine. I find it is easiest to select both folders (and the .esp file) copy then click on the data folder in your oblivion folder, and Paste. Everything will go where it belongs. strikerdes
hey (: sorry i didnt see this earlier, your right it is a simple question. okay so theres like a few different ways of installing a mod, most common is manual, theres also OMOD which is probley the easiest so if you ever come across a mod that has the option of OMOD get it (you need oblivion mod manager for this, its easy enough to find and just a double click to install) so if your using manual installer firstly, always read the read me very carefully! you can blamn it on the read me but most of the time its just people being to impatient and just skipping parts, dont do this! read it all.when i first started installing oblivion mods, i did the stupid mistake of not OVERWRITING files in the oblivion data folder, this is because normally if you get the "would you like to overwrite" message it means your gonna go over something therefore losing it, oblivions not like this, when it says would you like to overwrite, you click yes!! oh and make sure you read the incompaitabiltys aswell, it will tell you which mods dont work together and if there is a patch to get them working together. well hopefully ive helped you, not sure haha have fun gaming!! bben46
Yeah, we are quick to ban, but for things like piracy, flaming, trolling, spamming and other violations of the terms of service. You did read them didn't you? after all, you agreed to them when you signed up. We don't ban for bumping - maybe a warning if you make it a habit. It's easy enough to edit your post instead. :whistling: We also don't ban for testiness. :whistling: Have you actually looked at our banned topic to see what people got banned for? We publish every ban, along with a link to the actual post that got them banned (if it is not something illegal or a spambot) Did you really believe we have an expert (unpaid) standing by 24/7 to answer every question instantly? Pleas give it a little time. with over 17,500 mods it can take a while for someone who is familiar with your particular mod and that particular problem to see it. 24 hours is usually sufficient. Topic closed at OPs request - you can PM a moderator to have it reopened, or just start a new one if you wish to get further answers on this question. BTW, Welcome to TesNexus  Bbne46, Moderator
