Canderis
I was wondering if anyone could make a double bladed sword (ex-http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/Metal_fan101/Doubleblade.jpg) I can do the 3d model but I got no idea how to put it into the game. I think taking each type of weapons should have a double version. Thanks in advance.

Slawter500
Wouldn't you need a whole new animation for it? And can the player hold it in the right place? EDIT: The whole new animation was for the fact the player might not be able to swing both ends of the sword.
Vagrant0
Double bladed swords like that are mostly just for show and purchased by people who don't have the slightest idea how a real weapon might be used. Or atleast that particular design scheme with a handle in the middle and both blades facing the same direction. A real double bladed sword would look more like a staff, have the blades facing opposite directions, and NOT have a sheath!! The blades would also not be razor sharp since the weapon itself doesn't need to be exceptionally sharp to do its job since the style of use relies on momentum and efficiency of movement, not the sort of jerky style that the weapon posted would require. It's not your fault that the weapon design is so horribly flawed and impractical for any usage, I just have a tendency to shake my head at the things which are created under the guise of being indicative of a real weapon. Something like that is only good for show or landing you in the hospital with a bag of severed body parts chilling in ice on your lap. Anyway, about the idea, yep, unless you were happy with how the 2 hand weapon animations looked, you would need to make new animations. The bladestaff weapons used in Neverwinter Night games should give you some idea what it looks like. It also appears that there are already some weapons that fit.http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View...il&id=13418
sinisterassasin
errrm with a good animator this is possible but that would mean alot of animating 1.how you hold the sword2. how you swing it (without it going through your own body)3.how you power attack (left,right,forward,back)4.how you sheathe it so alot of work to be done but on the upside after its done then every modder can make there own 2 bladed swords (also a dual light sabre like darth maul)
Canderis
If to save work I can ignore the animations. I mod another game and animations are the hardest thing to do in. So i wasn't really expecting the animations to be right.

Its hard to think a chain could be used the way the shaolin monks do, yet they do. And one sided blades would work better because you could place your hands in different spots. anyways, I dont wanna get into a fight here
strikerdes
this has been all done before, if not more?in the romuska fantasy mod well anyway you find loads of weapons in the house and theres a double bladed blue sword that when you put it away it goes on your back, so why cant you just do that? and as for making a new stance for the sword pfftttt. just get DMC style animation (http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16459) and heres a picture of the blue double sword- http://tesnexus.com/downloads/images/22254-1-1236070002.jpg (one with the blue glow) it looks dual there, but when you pull it out it turns double bladed.
