4donathi3l
Hallo everyone - just signed up (mostly so I can download Mods from TES:S mod library) but I felt an introduction here was necessary. So, I was talking to a friend about Oblivion and it made me want to re-play Morrowind, so I'm currently in the process of re-installing it. I was wondering, when you play Morrowind, what are your Mods-of-Choice? Are there specific mods you HAVE to have? For myself, I NEED the following:* Morrowind Advanced* Homeopathic Alchemy and Herbalism* Reduced Glow Effect* Wakim's Game Improvements* Atmospheric Sound Effectsand of course, Khalazza's Visual Packs with Qarl's Visual Pack XT Then, if I'm feeling adventurous, maybe I'll also include:* Moonspawn* Hot Girls I & II (everyone likes to play as a good-lookin' girl sometimes ^.^) So, what about yourselves? Any particular recomendations for me before I begin playing again?(If this topic has been posted before, forgive me, I tried to search for similar topics, but the amount of topics with 'mod' in it is crazy! ^.^ Moderators, feel free to delete this topic if that's the case...) Povuholo
Some nice mods:Better bodies. Death to all the square people! (just make sure you download a head replacer too, like Better heads) (Maybe you should play morrowind normal before getting this one) Complete morrowind. This adds things like cooking, making weapons, armors, pots, arrows, furniture.. Quick char. With this mod you can quickly select your race and stats, without having to go through the whole beginning on the ship and in the office again. And if you are totally sick of the main quest i suggest downloading "Nerevar says Nerevar again", which is a mod that removes the main quest and makes good old Jiub the Nerevarine, who you will see bragging in towns. And there are lot's of great other mods. The theme list on http://www.mwmythicmods.com/ is nice. Also the link to Empirical morrowind is something good, if you are interested in realism mods (like complete morrowind) Oh and welcome to the forums
4donathi3l
Ya, I just tried Better Bodies - what a massive difference that makes! I wasn't aware of how much the aging (but still very lovely  ) graphics could be improved. The improved texture mods I listed earlier make a differeence, but one of them (I'm not sure witch) makes the textures a little too... *real* for my liking. Despite their hi-res-ness, they put in red brick and things that just don't really fit in Tamriel. Oh well. I like the idea of the Nerevar say Nerevar mod, but does it remove Dagoth Ur and all his little minions in the Red Mountain? If so, what do we get in return up there? I'm in the process of trying out some new quest mods (one I've already grown fond with, who's name I forget, puts random quests in a massive number of NPC's - which is nice. The little quests are some of the best, I find!) Oh, and thanks for the welcome! ;D

Adras
I have Better Bodies and Better Heads and I refuse to play without them. Another one I like is Mulit-Marking where whenever you cast Mark, a menu comes up and you can set up to 12 marked spots. Book Rotate is nice, but not nessecary. At the moment I just have BB and BH, but I have tried some pretty neat ones.
edstamos1
LGNPCPersuasion Response ExpansionNudity Greeting ExpansionBetter BodiesBetter Heads (it would be Changing Faces, except for the number of non-vamps with vamp faces, and the inclusion of some REALLY UGLY ORCS that don't fit with the rest of them)Better Clothes (beta)Divine DominaCanadianIce's robe/cuirass replacersglow-awayTLMPassive Healthy Wildlife I used to use wakim's GI all the time. However, there's some annoyances I had with it - Guilds offer no services to the public. While this sounds realistic, I think selling wares is a good way to generate income for the guild. So have some members sell wares/services, and the ones with good stuff keep their wares within the guild. I use all of these mods whenever I play, and occasionally try out other mods, but these are staples, since they don't really add anything, but increase the immersiveness. VaanicOne
There's this one great Mod called "Morrowind Comes Alive". What it does is adds a lot of NPC's to the game. It's really good. It also has a lot of wonderful add-ons, which do various things like adding unique heads to the NPC's, and giving them unique clothing too. Just search for "Morrowind comes alive" and "MCA" on Planet Elderscrolls, you'll find them all.

It also has a lot of wonderful add-ons, which do various things like adding unique heads to the NPC's, and giving them unique clothing too. Just search for "Morrowind comes alive" and "MCA" on Planet Elderscrolls, you'll find them all. Hmm... I'll have to check some of these out... Morrowind Comes Alive sounds good - anythng to make MW seem that little bit more... well, 'alive' I s'pose! :P What on EARTH does this 'Nudity Greeting Mod do?! I hesitate to ask, coz of the few people I know who drool over the nude models and don't wanna be classed as one of them... (for some reason, both people in the Real World I know that play MW have some obsession with the Nord women... o.O) Nude greeting... conours up loads of weird images... Anyway, I got myself the better heads & bodies, and now the blood & gore one too, that makes a lot of difference... I think quest mods and more armour / clothing mods are my next port-of-call... :D
Cardboard Box
Quests, eh? Here's some suggestions, as well as opinions: If you have broadband, get Wizard's Islands: Scourge of the Frost Bringer off FilePlanet. It's about 600MB and balloons to around 1.4GB extracted, BTW. I haven't really got into this one yet, but not for want of trying. The music alone is worth it. As for quests, I'm currently playing Havish, The Black Mill, Oluhan and The Latest, Greatest Housing Mod Gold. Oluhan is designed for beginners, give them something to do. The quest proper starts when you speak to Naloha upstairs in Desele's House of Earthly Delights in Suran. Hint: Ask around in places starting with V. Havish... you have to read the readme to learn what level you need as a Guild member to get it; e.g. you have to be third rank in the Fighter's Guild and talk to Fire-Eye. I've only just scratched the surface, but so far it looks interesting. Let's just say something wierd is going on there, and folks want it stopped forthwith. (NB: I've attached a little patch to get around a "PositionCell in dialog script" problem, so you can actually start Havish proper.) The Black Mill is my current focus. You'll have to perform some dubious acts in order to find out just what's the story with those mills all over the place. It's a challenging mod, but suffers from world-breaking fanservice (e.g. the names of people on Sunset Isle!), insta-death traps, and some seriously OTT architecture and lighting. The Latest, Greatest Housing Mod Gold requires you to buy the (to me) underwhelming Vivec property to start the quest off. Something to do with a threatening note pinned to the Seyda Neen property. Also underwhelming is the fact that TheV8Man didn't set the ambient lighting in his new houses, so everything's washed out and overlit. The fights are pretty challenging though, and it should be interesting to find out what this "portal to Oblivion" is. All of these were acquired from TheLys, just so you know.
