How do I get my new poses recognised in game?

I have been using the mod SomePoses and want to make a few of my own. It seems simple enough to make the poses but I cannot figure out how to get them in game. With the SomePoses esp, it seems to point somehow to the additional poses created. I have searched the GECK and cannot find out where to do that. I can only assume I am missing some step somewhere. Any help would be appreciated.

I do understand that I would have to use the ~ and playidle command.

Hi guys,

hope you can help me out here. I am trying to replace default npc Idle 'poses' for specific npcs. so changing the pamtidle isn't a solution for me.

I downloaded someposes, FO3edit, GECK, FOMM. GECK tends to crash a lot, and screws up the MOD I'm trying to make. FO3edit is much more stable, but I find it difficult to use.

So far, using GECK I've created a plugin file. I've got a Non-Player Character (folder ?) with Sarah Lyons in it. (GECK worked fine with changing her inventory etc) this is as far as GECK got. Then I moved to FO3edit and copied the animation data to the plugin file (thinking it might help) .. but there are conditions that have to be set in the SomePoses EDID thing or every character in the FO3 universe suddenly starts spasming into and out of a pose.

any help would be greatly appreciated... thanks a mil !

(I've spent hours trying to figure this stuff out, but a little guidance'd probably be much better use of time)

I don't use FO3Edit for making mods (aside from some utilities like making a master). You don't need anything but GECK to get poses into the game. All you need are the nif files for the animations in the right place, and to use the Idle Animations dialog to get them into your plugin.

You could help yourself out, I think, by looking into The Groovatron. That mod lets you deploy (an admittedly old version of) those animations.
