XrMt
I ran the toolkit just to see what it was like. After which all my saves no longer worked. So far I have uninstalled/reinstalled 5 times. Uninstalled/reinstalled with a different user account. Manually deleted all temp files and reinstalled the game. Contacted tech support. I cannot even start a new game. Displays a "Unable to launch module" error after clicking the New Game button. I am running Vista Ultimate 64bit for System Builders. I am totally out of ideas. Waiting for the tech support to answer my ticket, but that can take up to a month. Any ideas? :wallbash:
JimboUK
http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/8/index/114380 Something is this thread may help, it appears to be a common problem and it's the reason I won't near it until it's fixed. Elkas
Have you made sure your "C:\Users\accountname\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override\toolsetexport" is empty? Also make sure there are NO files named "singleplayer" anywhere in the the "C:\Users\accountname\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age" main or subfolders. Gaviteros
This doesn't sound like the normal problems... Make sure you uninstall the toolkit aswell... then delete the files (excluding saves) in "documents\bioware\dragonage\" Then you should uninstall and re-install the main game. If that doesn't work, it sounds like you have a problem somewhere else. The "unable to launch module" is from not having the Singleplayer.cif in your "programfiles\dragonage\modules\Singleplayer" When you reinstall that should go back. The broken saves are strange things... I can't imagine why they did not work... If you do this and the newgame works but the save games don't: upload one of the save folders to the nexus and send it to me. I'll take a look at it. GrandsonOfSam
Thank you Elkas and Gaviteros for the fix in that problem! I had the exact same problem as the OP mentioned, and removing the Toolkit, and those 2 directories mentioned from my documents in your posts fixed everything :) Funny that having a legal version of the game gives you problems like this. For more info, I am using Vista 64, and as Win 7 is based more on Vista than XP, the problem might lie in the architecture, so its a compatibility issue on the Toolkit on Vista and Win 7 machines apparently.
