RockEsper
Just recently got into Skyrim modding, and was shocked to find there was no mod to implement the Manado as a weapon. It's the signature weapon from the amazing RPG Xenoblade Chronicles, wielded by the hero Shulk. This is an awesome and unique weapon, heavily deserving to be a mod. The open circle at the hilt emits blue light and reveals a symbol when its powers are activated. If that glow could be implemented, bonus points!! Side request, Shulk's gear. His threads are dope. Monkeydude001
I understand now this is not my kind of community...Do not worry, my friend. They merely see the Monado as a piece of metal. They most likely haven't heard of the game and don't know the Monado's true power.
Fatcat55
I think the Monado would be an amazing weapon to have in Skyrim, but hey, I'm prolly just a dingus...
FungiFunGuy
The Monado wouldn't be lore friendly, they are correct, however, it could still fit the flavor of a lot of the Dwemer stuff that's in the game. So it could still "fit" in Skyrim. Not only that, but a lot of things could "fit" in Skyrim that don't belong there. Time travel can bring "future" weapons back, and don't say that's not a thing. Alduin was shunted through time by the effects of the Elder Scroll. How many worlds are their in the Legend of Zelda series? Who's to say that Nirn couldn't be connected to one of those worlds. Magical worlds pretty much throw out a lot of arguments against having something in them, simply due to the nature of magic.

XavierBronyXIII
This is a pretty amazing idea! And also, here are a few monado pictures for you guys. The Monado (Deactivated)http://www.erichschuler.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Monado-1024x371.png The Monado (Activated)http://ikusagami.info/wp/xenoblade/wp-content/blogs.dir/2/files/outfits_shulk_battlemix/LightArmor_Shulk_04.png A chart of the Strengths and Weaknesses of the Monado Arts.as used in Smash Bros 4http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i446/TheFlameAlchemistRoy/download_zps982881e8.png So you could have many new powers while you have the Monado equipped. Each power corresponding to one of the above arts, the rest from Xenoblade Chronicles. So you could have each one entitled Monado: (Insert name of art here) so for example:Monado: Jump which increases your jump but brings your armor level down.Monado: Speed could result in you gaining extreme speed but resulting in you having low armor points and a low jumpMonado: Armour could raise your armor stats up quite a bit, but you won't be able to run fast or jump high. (30-75%)Monado: Buster could allow you deal more damage.Monado: Smash could boost the strength of your unrelenting force shout, but you'll be able to get sent flying easier.Monado: Enchant could allow you to boost the attack power of your follower(s).Monado: Purge could allow you to shoot a blast that doesn't obey gravity and can go far before dissipatingMonado: Cyclone could attack all enemies around you, also having a weak Unrelenting Force effectMonado: Eater could strip away positive current effects on enemies minus their natural abilityMonado: Shield could create a barrier to protect you and your foes, so, a larger ward that blocks normal attacks too and also have 3 arts that are only available when fighting a dragon:Monado: Shooter could rapid fire 8 shots in quick successionMonado: Brave could allow your attacks and spells to be more powerfulMonado: Heal could allow you to restore a fair amount of health all at once So there's quite a bit that can happen. Though that'd be pretty OP. So I'd have a skill tree similar to the following one I whipped up. Shaped like the monado itself and everything. You could also have mechon similar to the dwemer that appear in some new areas that you could have appear: Some of which can include: Colony 9, Colony 6, the Ether Mine, Frontier Village, and Machina Village. Sure this could be breaking the lore of Skyrim, but there are a ton of other mods that do that as well. You could even have a set of quests all leading up to you defeating the mechonis. And you can also gain skill levels for the Monado tree by defeating the Mechonis with the Monado. And other weapons will do little damage to a mechon but if they're being knocked back by the effect of unrelenting force, you can also attack them with normal weapons and it'd do the same amount of damage as though you're attacking a dwemmer enemy. So either a skill tree or a set of spellbooks scattered around Skyrim that cannot be sold and appear after making the Monado, causing the mechon to appear. Though you can't know how to forge a foreign weapon automatically so you'd need to read up on how to make it. Either that or you could have it waiting for them in a dungeon. So overall, a lot is possible with a Xenoblade Chronicles Mod. Though for now, let's just focus on the Monado. I also think I found a good Monado Model for you here. SimonWasteland
I don't care how un-lore friendly it is, i require the ability to really feel it in skyrim
Ventus1990
I agree that this should be a mod. Sure, it may be not lore friendly but, it feels like it is something the deep elves would create. I am in agreement that this could work. Also, I have played the game and beat it 3 times. Do not forget the True Monado, It looks and is, much better so there should be a mod that implements the monado's I,II,and III.Also, there are many replica monadoes. So, this should be a mod. Edsh0t
For f*#@s sake people, this is a MODDING COMUNITY! keyword:MODDING! it exists to add things that are not in the normal game, that will probably never be in said game, and most likely shouldn't lorewise, but who cares! It is our game, and we use mods to play it our way, lorefriendlyness is not a prequisite, we are not building the world of Tamriel, we are twisting and perverting ti for our own amusement, and that's pretty ok!Sorry for the rant, but trash like Novem over there are the reason this mod comunity is not a bastion of mods that it should. It has everything to become the best comunity, the best site, heck we have a mod organiser! And a few teams that do excellent bug-fixing! Liek damn, get out of yoru asses already, lore is meaningless unless the person asking freaking asks for lore friendliness.Moving on to the mod itself, I'm unfortunatelly not familiar with the series it comes from, but reading the links and information posted, it seems liek it has a lot of potential, however half of the ideas will take a lot of work. What we need is a mod builder to get interested in this beauty.
