Found the resources, spent a bit more time on the .esp, currently tackling the issues of working around the whole "but I already killed her :( " complaint in the form of a mini-quest that rewards you with a little fame. Might have something to release as soon as my computer feels like cooperating a bit more.

 

Good news is that the fight shouldn't be easy for anyone and once I get it working right, people can go back and kill the matron again even if they already did.

The good news- She looks fantastic and is really tough to fight. Awesome job!

 

The bad news- I had to start a new game to see her. The message saying to go back again never came in my current game. I went anyway, but she wasn't to be found. This is only a minor thing, though, and more than made up for by the way she turned out when I did find her.

Note: maybe the message to go back to dive rock isn't supposed to come for a fairly long time? That would explain everything, I suppose.

Hmm, I thought I had that worked out, but it appears not. There might not be any way to automatically trigger the update if it has been a very long time since you killed the matron. Although in testing I did make sure that it still worked after the cell had been reset, I wasn't able to check if it still worked after the cell was entirely cleared from memory. However, you can manually trigger the quest by typing

setstage VG0DiveRockHorrorQuest 50

in console

 

Might try a minor change to the script to see if this can be solved though.
