MCChase
Evening all, A while ago I wished to use ReProccer to make a re-texture of the Deathbrand armour compatible with SkyRe. I spent many hours attempting to get ReProccer to work and gave up after no success, today I thought I'd give it another go but am quickly stumped (again). After installing ReProccer - either manually or through NMM, I go to launch the ReProccer.jar extension, receive a command window which immediately closes and doesn't open the GUI. I installed BOSS but this hasn't helped at all; but I presume it is the problem because I can launch the 'Debug-noBOSS' batch file and get to the ReProccer GUI from there. Being as the no BOSS version works I run the patch from there and launch 'Balbor and Steelsouls SkyRe Reproccer Project' from the NMM and patch ReProccer again. EVERY time (from three fresh installs of the game/mods/everything) after doing this though, I boot Skyrim and the game crashes when trying to continue from a saved game. I really don't want to have to go through a complete reinstall of everything again and this is really starting to get me confused. I'd like to think I'm missing something fairly simple to get everything working - but I have no idea where to look for faults anymore! Any help massively appreciated! Thanks in advance, Chase. --------------------------------------------------------- Edit for current solutions tried; Thanks to Piperman giving me a bunch of help. I can now confirm that Wyre Bash checks out my .esps as fine, all my mods load without fault in TESVedit, I have made a bashed patch and am STILL getting crashes before the game loads a save. The game starts absolutely fine. I click on continue to load my save game and the loading screen appears (the one with in game music, a smoky background, a sentence or two of some lore and an NPC or object in view), this loading screen continues indefinitely and the only way to exit Skyrim is via task manager and ending the processes manually.I appreciate all the help I've got (not the first time this forums has dug me out of the proverbial) but I've still not got a solution to this one  - anyone else got any potential solutions for me? Ball11
Run the reproccer from Sum.jar. Also a retexture of a mod will work with any mod anyway, except ones that have the same textures... just pick what to install, only stuff Skyre really needs patches for it crafting stuff etc Edited May 1, 2014 by Ball11
MCChase
Run the reproccer from steam. Also a retexture of a mod will work with any mod anyway, except ones that have the same textures... just pick what to install, only stuff Skyre really needs patches for it crafting stuff etc Thanks Ball, I hope you're ready for a few noob questions that will probably make you want to face palm... 1) How can I launch the ReProccer from Steam? (I can't see it listed in tools).2) I didn't think a texture would need patching either, but on the discussion page of the mod (here; http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41786/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D41786%26page%3D2%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D1103502&pUp=1) someone mentins they will use ReProccer to gain compatibility with SkyRe? Sorry not steam I meant to say SUM.jar... sorry OK, I installed 'Skyproc Unified Manager' - which is what i assume you meant by SUM and run the SUM.jar extension. Again, i get the command window open and immediately close, it's not followed by any GUI at all. EDIT: For the record I am opening the .jar extensions with 'Java Platform SE binary', it's not trying to open with 7Zip or something. piperman123
Apparently lots of people have issues with permissions for sum and skyprocs. Try running it as admin. Also, that mod looks like it replaces vanilla stuff so I assume that's why it needs reproccer (just scanned it dead quick so not 100%). You could try disabling UAC altogether but make sure you disconnect from your network/internet and I'd only do that as a last resort to rule it out, unless you know what your doing. Thanks for the reply Piper, By default I always have Windows UAC controls switched off. That being said, I'm not exactly sure how I'd even run a .jar extension at administrator level? EDIT: just ran the java.exe as admin and now the reproccer.jar boots just fine! Thanks for your help! Edited May 1, 2014 by MCChase
piperman123
Glad you sorted it, and you're welcome. Just wanted to make sure you're aware of how risky keeping UAC disabled is though, it makes your system extremely vulnerable, it's always best to manually run things as admin or add permissions. But it's your choice, happy gaming anyway :)
MCChase
No, it's still crashing! I ran a patch through ReProccer and when that failed I tried running the SUM.jar to perform a patch, neither are allowing the game to run. Anyone know what I should check for next? piperman123
So it's creating the patch but you CTD when you start the game? What Mod manager are you using and do you have tesvedit?
