Switch
I would think you would need a minimum of pixel shader support. Even the old GeForce4 Ti range of cards has pixel shader support. ^^; You have 128MB of video memory there, but I'm guessing since some of it is "shared" it's onboard, which is no good. You need one of the graphics cards on the compatibility list, either that or download a lot of tweaking mods to make the game compatible (not guaranteed to work). the_ragnarok702
So, I'm planning on buying a computer for Oblivion but am on a bit of a budget. This is about what I was able to come to... AMD Athlon-64 3800+ CPU w/Hyper Transport (2.4GHz) 1024 MB DDR-400 PC3200 RAM Nvidia Geforce 6600 256 MB w/ DVI 80GB Hard Drive I would just like to know if I will be able to run the game mostly smoothly with decent settings. If not I would like to know what I would need to upgrade to make it so.

You say the game runs mediocrely with full settings. Well, I probably will have the settings mostly between low to medium and maybe at medium if that looks bad. I would hope that I would be ok with that.
MrDestructo
i think most any computer can run it if you put the grafics low enough i think if you really just have to have the best grafics get it for 360 its cheaper than buying a hole lot of stuff for your pc or geting a gaming one they cost a couple thousand dollors but the game play and every thing is fun and mods and cheats are fun if you dont mind slightly worse grafics
