David Brasher
This problem occurs on a mod I am working on with a new worldspace. The problem occurs only on this one mod. The problem occurs only on the close-up map when outdoors. It does not occur in interior cells. It does not occur on the world map of this same exterior space. I use no mods which alter user interfaces, maps, or map markers. What problems can cause a missing gold "your position" marker?
LFact
Perhaps it's infamous cell(3,3) bug. If anything changes there(even making LOD, I think..), 'local map bug' occurs. It's game engine issue, so there's no solution other than 'do not touch problematic exterior cell'. **Similar bug occurs when you approach certain place in worldspace(i.e. somewhere at Pell's Gate in Tamriel worldspace), but it's temporary. David Brasher
Are you talking about cell 3,3 in Tamriel? To my knowledge it is not touched in this mod, although cell 3,3 of the new worldspace is totally modded in all aspects being an entirely new creation. Ranokoa
I.. actually have never heard of the cell 3,3 problem. Please, elaborate.
David Brasher
I ought to clarify one of my statements. This mod does not mess up the "your position" marker anywhere except outdoors in the close-up map of the new worldspace which makes up this mod. It does not conflict with any other mods or mess up the vanilla game. I guess it is sort of fun in a way, having to navigate without properly working GPS-style maps, but the gaming public will look at this mod and say it is broken. EDIT: And of course, after I post this, I realize that this is a completely unhelpful post in a "HELP!" forum. :wallbash: Ignore the joke post, move along, move along.~this is not the droi---erm, Argonian you are looking for~~handwave~
David Brasher
I am not offended. That is one possible solution. Say that the mod is supposed to be that way and that the navigation without good maps is part of the challenge. It is sort of like playing pool. Me and the people I have played pool with stink. So if someone accidentally makes a really cool bank shot, they say that they planned it that way. :)
