Is it right to mess with everlasting life

I don't want everlasting life.

I don't want to go through so much drama in my life, and I would really like to see how it feels to say a last in your bed with your children and grandchildren around you. Such things are important for women, don't laugh!

I would want to live for as long as I'm healthy. If I were in good physical shape for 300 years and able to live a regular and happy life thats fine. Same goes with the other way around, if I were 21 and paralyzed from the neck downward and became dependant on others to live I would want to die.

My feelings exactly... Why not let the healthy people who can contribute even more to the society live longer through a few alterations in the body that let them live longer?

Ought to be something like this: Live twice as long, age twice as slow. Live thrice as long, age thrice as slow, etc.

i would absolutely LOVE being forced to live for eternity as long as i didnt age.

but the key to stopping aging is two chemicals called tylomerase, and tylomerin. they are in every cell of your body, and regulate when the cells die, and stop replacing themselves. when we can find a way to replace the tylomerase and tylomerin in every cell, then we can live forever.
