Crouching Makes NPCs think I'm Invisible

Basically whenever I crouch, I am considered completely invisible and hidden to all NPCs. It is exactly as if I was wearing the Chinese Stealth Suit obtained from the add on Operation Anchorage. Shooting or standing up breaks the 'invisibility'. This glitch or whatever it is is rather annoying as it keeps me from sneaking around properly and legitly.

I have already considered the fact that this may be due to Mart's Mutant Mod and Fellout, in which both mods reduce perception due to night conditions. However, I remain completely 'invisible' to NPCs during the brightest of times when the sun is directly above. I have also disabled Mart's Mutant Mod as well as Fellout but to no avail.

Any and all help would be much appreciated.

Using "player.getav chameleon" in the console yields a 0.00 value...

I'm wondering, is there anyway that a mod is still functioning even after unchecking its .esm or esp. in Fallout Mod Manager?

By the way, thanks anyways for the tip, I didn't think of trying it.

An update:

after hours of testing with my backup files I found out that this glitch is NOT caused by any of my mods but actually perks. I seemed to have narrowed it down to the Silent Running perk. However, I think this affects my crouching only because my steps now alert NPCs. What's more is that on my current save file (the one where I discovered the glitch) removing Silent Running via the console still makes me 'invisible' to NPCs.

Oh yeah, and when I typed "player.removeperk 31DB3" to remove Silent Running, the prompt "player.getav perceptionconditions 87.6" came up. Does this have to do with NPCs seeing me? Does an abnormally high "perception condition" mean I'm basically invisible to NPCs despite being right in their faces in daylight?

Any help much appreciated.

Short version of post: What does "player.modav perceptioncondition "number"" do?

PerceptionCondition is the condition of your head. So, for example, if you wanted to cripple yourself in the head:

player.damageav PerceptionCondition 100

or use restoreav to fix your condition. SomethingCondition always works this way (except BrainCondition, which controls whether you can resist frenzy).

The only stat that affects your stealth while crouched is Chameleon, which is why I asked about that. If you had Silent Running and a high Sneak value, then I would say that the game is working as designed and is not glitched at all.

However, was the game designed such that by simply having the Stealth skill at 100 and having the perk Silent Running, you are rendered completely invisible to all NPCs, day or night, whilst crouching?

I just don't understand. I'm crouching right in FRONT of them and they walk past me.

If you're walking through an ambush, I can promise you they *will* see you, even if you have Silent Running and Sneak 100. If we're talking about normal enemies doing their normal patrol, of course they're not going to notice something directly in front of them. Normal enemies aren't very perceptive, and I would think tend to be in their own little world most of the time.
