After reading around it seems it's an issue with a missing .esm, or possibly conflicting ones. I'm really, REALLY new to modding, and have been reading up on the proper way to get a modded game working, and have done my best to install mods according to load order, requirements, etc. Obviously I've missed something though, and am praying someone might have some input. The facts: Fresh install, updated and verified (says missing 1 file, but I hear that's normal). Old saves and loose data cleaned out. Fresh NMM install. Fresh SKSE install. Fresh FXAA install. Running NMM and SKSE loader as admin. Have the requisite RAM for my mods. Side note: Did a quick test to check the visuals out initially, with only texture mods, SMIM, skyfalls, and alternate start loaded, and everything worked fine. Re-installed because I read some advice that required a fresh install, added the extra mods below, and that's when the trouble started. Again, this stuff is mostly over my head, which is why I tried to be very careful and follow all instructions, but obviously I'm missing something... chanchan05 Posted May 5, 2014 Share Posted May 5, 2014 Missing master, not necessarily an esm file. Some esp files can be masters of other mods. Load up TESVEdit and just click OK. It will stop and give you an error message when it tries to load the mod causing the problem. Check the last line of the log, and that's the mod you're looking for. I just did exactly that as you were posting lol... hadn't installed TES5edit because a guide I read mentioned it as not for inexperienced users. Code: 2.The system cannot find the file specified> So it seems like an issue with dependency on DLC that isn't there? Interestingly, the plugin info on NMM mentions Dawnguard.esm as required, no mention of Dragonborn...? Was planning on this being troubleshoot night, all night, but had a roommate I forgot was moving in, had to lend a hand... anyhow!
