IndorilTheGreat
(OOC-> Sorry I haven't been on recently! My mouth has been hurting for the past couple of days!) Druce tells the boy, "I would like to speak with your parents as well;" he pauses, remembering Auriel's mother and her power. "Particularly your mother." macmert
"Alright then, Druce and I will talk to the mother and you two may join this young man and head out for the tunnels?" Mac turns to the boy and says "Boy, will you take us to your mother then? After that you can take these ladies to the tunnels..." Mac gets closer to Druce and speaks nearly in a whisper "Lets try to find out what the hell is this place, and if this is the boy we are after, we will be in neck-deep trouble..." OOC> Dude get well soon, teeth operations can be quite painful...
Deleted269910User
Ritz decides to just follow the crowd, nothing worth saying is better left without saying. She waits for the kid to start taking them to the mother, Ritz somehow isn't even afraid of her, too much power to be even afraid? The cautiousness the woman had when they first met, was like watching herself in a mirror, Ritz let a quiet laugh to herself.
Malchik
The boy leads Druce and mac to Damiel who, as he had said, is tending the flower garden. She glances up at you with her beautiful but emotionless face. Hearing that Ritz and Esha (and T'skar?) are going into the tunnels with Auriel she reminds him to be back in time for supper. Damiel waits impassively for your questions. Auriel is very eager to explain the tunnels. There are at least twelve levels he says. He has never been lower than the eleventh because it takes so long to get there. In level one, fifteen steps down from the surface, he excitedly points into bare room after bare room telling you that he knows what they used to be, talking rapidly and without pause for breath. Although you see only a fraction of the level you somehow know it is all the same. Auriel takes you to level two which is an exact replica of level one. Only at one point do you see a change. There is a niche in the upper wall. The boy turns to you. "Could you help me up. I've never been in there. The walls are too slippery to climb and the chairs are too heavy for me to carry here." His eagerness is endearing even though you, being taller, can see there is nothing there. Presumably it was once a cupboard. You have seen similar ones in other rooms although a little lower than this one. You help him up and he drops back quickly. He shows no disappointment or surprise. He says "They probably kept stuff up there out of the way of rats. I think we have time for level three before supper."
macmert
"I couldnt help myself but be impressed by the greatness of your place... I dont want to sound a bitter guest but I would be glad to hear the tale of this place, and my hosts too..." says Mac with a little smile on his lips, he tries to be friendly but he knows that he fails miserably... Malchik
Damiel sighs. "Of the place, I know little. It was as you see it now. Well, the furniture and the other decorations we brought with us but the buildings, the tunnels, the dreary landscape, they have been much the same for the thousands of years we have been here. I and Auran were once wizards from the Tagfieran city of El Rhun. I don't know how much you know of the place but it is full of factions and back biting. They objected to Life wizards, like Auran, on the basis that the creation of 'magical life' was too dangerous. Then they objected to women as being too distracting to research. They threw both groups out in the end. Like most married couples we left. We took a voyage into the unknown. We ended up in a place called Levdia. There we lived for several hundred years in the city of Witten. Auran developed a race of people who, although they lived a normal life span, never looked older than 16. He developed a race that lived almost for eternity (except those could not breed so he stopped after producing four). The other race was normal in all respect but aging. Unfortunately others believed we had discovered the secret of eternal youth. One day, when we were away in the capital for a few days, a mob broke into our house. I believe those they tried to catch managed to escape but I have no proof. When we returned we could sense we were in danger in Witten and once again we moved on into the unknown. Until we arrived here. It was not so long after that I became pregnant. Our first 'real' child. Auriel. And that is our history, such as it is. Is there more you would know?" Lisnpuppy
After allowing the child to peer into the high cubbard-like hole, she smiled at him warmly. "What were you hoping to see in their Auriel?" Even as she smiled she once again felt the slick, black of magik on her skin.
macmert
"I am sorry for the troubles you have been through, but sometimes tampering with the unknown attracts too much attention from dangerous people, or worse, ignorant people..." "I would like to ask a few questions if you dont mind, I see that he is quite... extraordinary... when you see a boy fall, you expect something fatal happen... Malchik
Auriel's Group The boy shrugs. "I don't expect things, I just wait and see. But it is a nuisance not to be able to be sure a place is empty. I have never found anything here yet but who can say if I have seen everywhere? I have drawn maps - when I first started exploring - but that was a very long time ago and I don't need them any more. Let's move on, for I will need to be back for dinner." He drags you into yet another dismal corridor. Damiel's Group "It is a researcher's role to investigate the unknown. I am not sure I would call it tampering." As her thoughs turn to the child for a moment you see a flash of expression cross her face. It appears to be a desperate sadness. "Auriel will have inherited powers from both of us. I am a wizard of the school of Death and Auran of the school of Life. Auriel cannot take physical injury unless it be instantly fatal and he can heal anyone just by touching them. In fact he cannot help but heal them as he has no control over this. Ah if only he had not swallowed that potion perhaps he would have stopped ageing in his middle years like most wizards. The world is not a safe place for a child such as he. And yet it is so lonely for him here. So lonely..." The words drift away ending in a kind of sigh. macmert
"Doesnt he has friends? probably from the village near here? Why keep him locked up here? why not try to teach him how to control his powers? With his powers, he can be a great help to a lot of people... He is a child I agree, but maybe you can help him have a...at least a sociable life..."
