Malchik
After returning Auriel to your rooms you set off making the first turn to the left. You don't need other light sources at the moment but hold them in reserve. As you turn left, those who had explored the tunnels with Auriel earlier remember that the floors are laid out in a grid pattern. (OOC> I had not said that at the time as the boredom of the tunnels had blotted out any other remembrance.) Continually turning left will take you in a circle back to the stairs. Each side of each block has one room or a staircase. It makes it easier to draw but less easy to track. When you come to the next junction turning left will take you along the passageway that runs behind the staircase you came down. It is clear that a different strategy is needed. The howl seems to come from a long way away perhaps several floors down. Which way do you turn at junction 2?
Deleted269910User
"Hmm, circling around... We could try moving along the walls and start mapping this place from the outside towards further in or does someone have a plan other than just rushing in? Rushing to an unknown situation has never worked, although it's always an possibility. We could also try tracking the howls and move towards where they're coming from.";Ritz suggests to the group after noticing the layout wasn't an actual maze, more of a massive hall. Malchik
OOC> The room in which my computers lurk is being redecorated atm and they are buried under protective sheets. It means I can only access them late each day. I should still be able to post daily but I need an answer to the question - which way do you turn. Ritz has suggested you go straight on to the very edge of the construction. If you all agree I will continue you that way.
IndorilTheGreat
"Maybe we should try that passage under the stairs we came down," Druce suggests. (OOC-> Malchik, when you say "my computers," how many do you mean?... )
Deleted269910User
"We could do that aswell, it's a decent option.";Ritz says and then asks;"You have any suggestions Esha?" (OOC-->I don't think we'll die if you're not able to post 24/7. :))

macmert
"Lets go then..." OOC>He "lurks" in the computer room... I imagine that our story teller (or dungeon master?) is an octupus like creature who wraps his tentacles around the computers... :D
Malchik
The passage (beneath the stairs) leads to another set of stairs going down and the second level of the tunnels. It is to all intents and purposes identical to the upper level. A howl sounds as if it comes from one floor below. Then again from several further down and then as if in a distant part of the level you are on. You walk straight ahead to reach the end wall of the 'hall'. You see and hear nothing but the flickering torches, and yet the temperature feels colder. Eventually you arrive at the end of this branch of the tunnel. If there is anything here it has not sensed you yet. At this point you have a simple choice - turn left and follow the edge of the hall travelling anticlockwise or turn right and do it clockwise. Deleted269910User
"This may not matter at all, or makes all the difference in the world, who knows. I suggest anticlockwise";Ritz says calmly while taking her bow out and putting the dagger finally away, but easily accessible if needed.
Lisnpuppy
Esha nodded in agreement wit Ritz. "Let us proceed in this..it serves no purpose to dither about...and the longer this thing howls the more anxious I become." (O.T.-havent slept in 30 hrs..that is all I got! :) )
