Deleted269910User
Ritz shouts;"Guys, I've got an idea, although admittedly, it is risky. My question is, how far can you guys keep running and if we run, will you still be able to fight afterwards? The basic plan would be for us to run to the edge of the cliffs surrounding this island, while luring the creature with us, then, use whatever methods necessary to drop it down. If you think your stamina will run out, I want you to go and hide yourself as anyone not able to fight will only be a hindrance to the plan, or will fall victim to the lichdame. My second question is, does anyone have a better idea, as this is the best plan I can come up with at the moment." Ritz calmly takes up her bow, intending to fire an accurate salvo of arrows on the lichdames head, in an attempt to see if consecutive hits within a 1-centimeter area would have any effect, in case the others want to just face it head-to-head. Malchik
OOC> I am in India atm and can get online max once a day. On topic> a voice reminds you that the castle is completely surrounded by unclimbable walls. The delaying tactis you use do delay the creature but cannot inflict serious damage as the lichdame simply regenerates. Perhaps you could get help? Deleted269910User
Ritz says;"Damnit, trapped here, forgot the darned castle walls. Let's see if we can wake up Auran or Damiel. If both of them are sleeping as tightly as Auriel, we could check Auran's lab for anything that could be of use. If we can't get any of this to work, we'll just have to barricade ourselves somewhere. Lets see if we can get any help here." Thinks to herself;*I hate situations like this, no good solutions, only possible options with no guarantee of success. I have to come up with a back-up plan should all else fail. I will not die in this place no matter what.* OOC>No prob.
Malchik
To go to Auran's lab or where Damiel and Auran are asleep you will need to unlock the door. It is not magically locked but it will take time to do so. At the top of the stairs the Child of Healing sleeps soundly but there is no locked door that bars the way. As he heals all damage instantly it might help to have him on your side.
Deleted269910User
(OOC>I think I'm gonna wait a bit before making a new IC post, to actually see who are active here atm. I don't think a 2-man RP is as much fun as it's with more people.)
IndorilTheGreat
(OOC-> Sorry guys! I've been really busy lately [end of the school quarter - ugh]. I'll have some more time this next week though! :D ) OT-> Druce follows the rest of the group. He slows down as he runs out of stamina, but the sight of the monster at their tail spurs him on with a new vigor. As they enter the castle walls, they realize that they are cornered. Druce sees that there is a locked door in one of the walls. "C'mon!" he yells. He runs over to the door to find that it is solidly locked. The creature is slowly closing in in their position... He turns towards the rest of the group. "Keep it stalled," he tells them. "I'm going to try to get this door open. I must warn you though, it'll be a bit loud..." A small orange light begins to glow at the end of his staff...
Deleted269910User
"Fine Druce, but you're gonna have one helluva project crafting me new arrows for this small distraction I'll set you. Silver arrowtips aint cheap you know... You'd better make this count.";Ritz says, letting out a sigh. She concentrates and fires a rapid/accurate salvo of 15 arrows to the lichdames head, using almost all her remaining arrows only leaving five more left for use. She then shouts;"Could someone go and check on the kid also? I'll hold this thing even with my dagger for as long as it takes you." Ritz quickly lays her bow and quiver to ground and picks her dagger from the belt, while giving a quick comment;"I can't always fight in ranged combat, I'm bound to run out of arrows at some point, so I've got to know how to handle myself fair enough in close-quarters-combat." She gives a faint smile that no one sees and goes CQC with the lichdame, while heavily focusing on saving stamina and avoiding hits, only aiming at the joints of the bones. She only attacks when the lichdame is unable to counterattack in an attempt to keep perfect defense up as long as her stamina would hold out. (OOC>Up to Malchik to decide how well the endeavours go, just to give a note, CQC is tiring no matter how it's done and Ritz did <run> the whole trip up from the basement[And remember that we didn't even get a full night's rest before getting woken up!], might need another distraction fairly soon or she might faint from exhaustion and/or die to the lichdame. gman, you're not the onlyone who's been busy, I myself will be helping my granny with some of her work for this week, I think we all have several things that keep us more or less occupied. I do think we'll all still be around here tho, unless something drastic happens.)
Lisnpuppy
(sorry guys but I have been a bit sick) "I think we should wake the child. He could be useful to use as he appears to be invincable. He also may be able to unlock the door. Also if it is daylight outside this may slow the monster and help us escape" Esha then runs up the stairs to attempt to wake the child. IndorilTheGreat
The orange light at the end of Druce's staff grows from a dull orange to a pleasant red, and then to a blinding white. There is a very loud bang, accompanied with the door blasting off it's hinges and slamming into the adjacent wall. The sound resonates around the castle walls, and a yell and a profane curse comes from the room of the groups hosts. "Well, that seems to have woken our hosts up." Druce comments dryly. He then collapses from exhuasten. That last burst of energy plus the events of the previous night had drained him almost completely.
Malchik
Esha cannot waken Auriel but she can carry him. Just touching him revives all her flagging energy. The effect must be able to apply to the other members of the party too. The door has not in fact disintegrated although Druce's efforts did blow the lock off. Ritz is stuggling to delay the monster but is weaking fast. Druce opens the dooe to the host's room but it is pitch dark inside and other than knowing someone is in there from the shout he cannot tell who.
