ooc> for those who may not know here's a link for the Drunken Alligator, hope to see you there.

ic> T'skar looks at Nikishatra and asks, "You said something about whispers in the Temple, and Arminda worrying about them, or was that something we heard on the street? Do you know anything about them? Sorry to move the conversation away from the swords, but it seems you have told us all you know about them, and Zander?" She ends in more of a question than a statement.

"I could talk for hours on Zander but I don't think I have anything that would help you at the moment. Of course if you later find questions I might answer I will be here. I don't remember mentioning whispering but I am afraid my short term memory is not what it was. Certainly there have been rumours of people hearing voices when visiting the ossuary. When that level was closed whispers were reported from the museum on the middle floor. Nothing appears to be heard on the top floor which is why it is still open. "

Nikishastra rubs his forehead wearily.

"Who knows what really worries La Sagrami apart from her appearance. She may say she's worried so people imagine she will do something about it when she has no interest in that at all. She may be genuinely worried because it is something she cannot control. You can never tell if a deceitful person is being genuine. And of course anyone who is deceitful will not trust those who approach them."

He looks at the others of the group. "Now if you looked like an entourage for a very wealthy woman she has never met before.... Some expense would necessarily be incurred for the woman of the party but the rest of you would just have to look more like employees - two court mages, a personal bodyguard, advisors. La Sagrami keeps a veritable army of flunkeys near her on the beach and they are not lavishly equipped. Those in her home are rather more cared for - purely for the image of course."

Excusing herself, T'skar approaches Face "You look like an 'enterprising' young man, Face. You wouldn't happen to know the best place for a 'rich' new-comer to pick up some very nice clothing at very reasonable prices would you?" she asks expectantly.

Áni nods at T'skar as she leaves, then looks at Nikishastra for a long moment before speaking. "Will probably need weapon before...investig-" He closes his eyes for a moment and growls. "Before looking into whisperings, you know any to keep them without trouble?" He looks at Nikishatra hopefully. "Could Sa-Sagrami grant permission?"

Face has a distinctly knowing smile. "The emporium near the beach is very exclusive. It has several to serve but each customer expects to have three or four at their beck and call. They never have more than two customers - normally."

Nikishastra does not know much about weapons. "I could use magic if I had to but Bashkher and especially Ippikander are peaceful places. There are many in the museum of course. La Sagrami will have her own personal bodyguard and they will have some form of weapon but I have no idea if she would ever trust you enough to lend them to you whatever you promise."

Face interrupts. "I can get you a knife. Most of the guides carry one for emergencies. It isn't much for sustained defence though."

Sighs and nods a silent thanks to both Nikishastra and face. "Hopefully will not need knife, but i not feel safe with nothing but fists to defend entire group. I not much more than meat shield..." He smirks, but the look of a warrior that was about to charge into war and had no intention of coming back alive was all too apparent in his eyes.

T'skar murmurs to herself I wonder how many customers are there now? She asks Face some quick directions, making sure she has the right place and then excuses herself and heads to her room, where she quietly conceals herself. Quickly she exits the Inn and heads for the emporium near the beach.

When she arrives, she makes sure there is more than one customer in the emporium, and then enters during a particularly chaotic time. Biding her time, she gathers garments that have been cast aside, or dropped, and conceals them out of the way. When she has a nice number of high quality garments, she heads back to the Inn, entering the open door and heading to her room to look over her 'purchases' and see which ones would be most suitable for the new rich lady in town to wear.

OOC> As it is moving slowly I will let you get away with it THIS time. Luckily t'skar had noticed the guard dogs and brought meat with her to distract them.

T'skar has acquired - an evening gown of lilac satin with an emerald encrusted hemline. It is fractionally tight but she also has a lace-up whalebone corset that will need someone else to tighten but which should ensure the gown fits even if she then loses a great deal of flexibility. The two golden sandals are unfortunately both left feet but the green satin shoes are okay if a little large. She has a pair of beach shoes that fit perfectly; a heavy black cape; the very latest in beach wear - a silver thong with a top comprising two crossed silver straps and two strategically placed silver knots. (Fortunately there is a silver silk wrap that is worn over it.) Tucked into the beach outfit is a flat silver item. It takes her a while to realise this is an inflatable beach ball.

The thought of playing with it dressed only in the swimwear is alarming but she is not one to make a thong and dance about it.

ooc> is there a private dining room or something where we could gather, out of prying eyes?

ic> T'skar draws Kalmer a little to the side and whispers "I think the new lady about town is ready to make an appearance. How about her and her entourage going to the beach tomorrow, and then appearing at the night club later?"

She asks Face, when it is convinient, "Do you have a sister that could help me with something of a personal nature? I would need her services tomorrow evening perhaps. Oh, and do know where we could get a large beach umbrella, or tent? It seems we may spend some time on the beach, and I hate burning." She smiles prettily at him.

Face says he has three sisters.

The lodging does not have a private dining room but you can meet in your bedrooms.

Face adds "If you are going up to the end where Arminda Sagrami is found you'll find the 'beach mushrooms' already in place for you. My sisters could also lend you a portable one but it would not do for you to be seen carrying it. One of your servants would have to do that."
