TGBlank
NONONONONONO. We're talking of totally different folders. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING ON THAT ONE!! Dragon age installs itself on program files (or somewhere else, if you tell it to).But the saves, screenshots, and mods go into a folder under mydocuments (or whatever vista/7 have). The mods you install should go into the mydocuments one, NOT the program files one
dragonageaddonz42
I gotcha. wait so then are you talking about core-> override?
TGBlank
Mods come in two formats, those that go in the override folder, that is, this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override And those that are dazips and are installed with daupdater. Apart from that, when someone uses the toolset, it may create stuff in this folder:C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\modules\Single Player\ Having stuff inside that folder can cause a whole lot of trouble, which was what i assumed was happening to you in the first place. It may be that you installed the mods on program files instead of mydocuments and that's the reason why you're having issues.
dragonageaddonz42
you mean C:\Users\user\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\AddIns ? there are no addons in the place I was talking about before that I can see
maddbomber83
I'm having the same issue. The bioware forums also has several other people with the same issue. One lady reloaded a saved game from before the patch that has no mods on it (along with disableing all mods) and she too is having the issue. I have deleted all mods, loaded prior saved games, rebooted computer, never touched the toolset thing and can not get out of Lothering. I am starting a fresh game with a much smaller mod base to see if it helps. 4 hours of play time gone, good thing the game is fun enough to redo. dragonageaddonz42
bummer looks like i'm back to oblivion... already beat the game, was planning to beat it again with all the mods. oh well. ty for the help
dragonageaddonz42
Aha! I may have found my culprit- a mod called improved origin items or some such. I was checking if they had updated and saw a comment saying that that Addon caused them to be unable to leave lothering. I will return after uninstalling it to see if that does it.
