Sasquatchewan
http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...al#Preparations Alright, I've followed this pretty much to a tee, but I've hit a few snags in the scripting. 1) the block of script he says to add to the script for the merchant's container; I'm using Norbert Lelles, and his merchant container doesn't have a script on it. None of them do. I tried adding a new script, but I'm unsure what type of script (object, quest) to save it as. 2) regarding the same block of script mentioned above, when I try and save it I get an error message, line 9, an invalid object ID or something along those lines. This is where I'm supposed to provide the name for the set of furniture. I tried using the reference editor name for the parent I set, the letter-number code for the parent I set, and the name of the object itself, all with and without parentheses, and the CS won't accept them. Exactly what do I need to put in here? thanks in advance for your help, ~Willie
DavidBudreck
A script for containers would be Object Type. To reference an object in a script you need to do two things BEFORE you can make the script. Give the object a unique name. And, when making a reference name like this, avoid starting the name with numbers. Second, check the "Persistan Reference" box. Then you have to close the dialog for the object, then you can reference the object in a script.
Sasquatchewan
THank you so much David, the name does in fact start with the #1. I'll try renaming it and giving it another go.
