Guest WaffleLoyalist
So any ambitious modders out there working on a fix for the player female model? Seeing as the developers just stuck a female head on a male body and added tits and called it a day. Only bothering to give the emerald herald and chloanne custom models is just unfair. ensssss
There's currently no safe way to replace meshes in the game. The only way is to repack the archives, and there are two issues there; I don't even think there's a utility to allow one to do it easily, and it's a 100% sure VAC ban to replace the game's own files. Guest Guest
sad to hear that, maybe they'll finally put some effort into it for ds 3.
ensssss
There's still hope that some clever modders will create a utility for more advanced modding than texture overriding although it might take some time.
Guest Starling
I'd actually gladly play solo offline if it meant that a female model had slimmer shoulders. That's actually pretty much the most annoying issue for me. But that also would mean you'd have to fiddle with the skeleton. And I'm 100% sure female and male model use same skeleton meaning they don't have separate data on that. So changing the skeleton for female means it also changes for male. Perhaps meeting halfway for both models would alleviate this. But I could be wrong on female and male model using the same skeleton, I'd have no idea where to look. ensssss
Well, since there are different body builds to chose from in the character creation, I think the engine uses a morphing method to form the player model - if we do get a utility to replace the meshes and ref skeletons, I don't think it would be a problem. We can only wait, though. :)
