Dude, Where's My Horse?

prices vary on horses also

5k horses

1k horses

and i belive ive seen two places with 500 horses, but it was probably the same place, i just forgot

black horses are 5k

there are also white, chestnut, and paint but i'm not sure what each of those cost

different types of horses also have different stats(supposably), the black horse supposably is faster and has more health, so it can take more hits

anyone know if you can heal your horse, or does it heal itself at stables?

Okay so I got the steed from doing some quests *ahem* Don't want to spoil it but it's from the DB, so I got arrested a couple of times and I lost track of my horse... is there a default place I might be able to find it @? Any info would be appreciated.

If you lost **********, you can find him at **** *********, where you got him in the the first place after the **** ********** Quest.

Helpful?

I never take my horse where I might have to fight just to avoid accidentally hitting him or getting him killed. I'll walk from the nearest safe fast-travel point. Actually, I run, to keep athletics built up, but that's another thing :).

In case anyone is still mystified by their disappearing horse, it appears that if you mount a new horse, any horse you may have previously been riding begins walking back to whatever stable you first acquired it. Say that you own a Paint Horse and decide to steal someone else's (or ride a unicorn). As soon as you mount the stolen horse/unicorn, the Paint Horse begins walking away from its spot towards "home".

So, if you steal somebody's horse in order to ride back to where you left your own personal steed, don't be surprised if he's not exactly where you last left him.

If someone has said this, then I'm about to spam.

Shadowmere defaults to Fort Farragut, where you got him. If you've lost him, he'll be right outside the door into the fort.

I think you were talking about Shadowmere, and if you weren't, and someone hasn't said this, then I still spammed... crap...

I don't see what is so great about horses. If you go anywhere there are aggressives, you have to kill 2 or 3 very important seconds just getting off the damn thing to fight back. Then they forget about you, and just beat on the horse. After losing my 5th horse I just decided to forget them entirely, headed toward the arcane university, and enchanted up a set of speed boosting equipment. Ran everywhere after that, ended up having a reasonably high athletics and acrobatics skill because of it.

If you lose a horse, just forget about it, you're better off.

I've lost shadowmere a long time ago, it happened when i put armour on it then later de select the horse armour mod (can't remember why). Well it dissappeared on me at the stables outside the Imperial City (and no hasn't been back to Fort Farragut). I'm still undecided whether having a horse is a benefit or more of a hinderance.
