tiaxanderson
Allright everybody, I have it all sorted out!..Now I just need a major update, first new post is;OOC> I was waiting to see if Aldhelm or Tiax wanted to add anything. But this is long enough. On topic. Face serves you each a portion of stewed lamb with a fiery dry rice curry and then escorts you across the town to the museum enclave. The hill is enclosed by a high marble wall with only one entrance, where you pay your rather steep entrance fee of 20 nipin per person. Face waits outside, unless you elect to pay his fee too. Within the wall the site comprises three white marble buildings set at some distance from each other and at different heights on the hill. Face has told you that the lowest building, to your left on entering, is the museum of arts and crafts, the middle building, to your right on entering, is fine art. The topmost building is devoted to the history of Bashkher and Ippikander in particular. He does not know where the sword would be but doubts if it is fine art as that is almost all paintings. Asking at the entry to Arts and Crafts you learn that there are swords in all three buildings but the one by the Master of Zooz is considered part of Bashkheri history. You find it on the first floor (one above the ground floor). It is in a locked display case in a small windowless room that is clearly closed and locked at night. (As is the main building itself.) Four museum guards are standing around it looking bored out of their brains. The sword is not missing its tip. The guards look as if they'd love to arrest you to add a bit of excitement to their day. With the expensive entry fee (twice the average daily wage in Bashkher) the visitors are few. P.S. Malchik I tried both.
karkarinus
I agree 100% with T'Skar. And I honestly thought I'd suggested the same about how we get into the museum. Or maybe I just thought it  . Anyway, the best way to get to the top level is with Sagrami's say-so, but the birthday party thing would be too expensive, so perhaps the best way would be to offer to dispel the whisperings. Once inside, we could off-handedly mention to Sagrami that T'Skar is nigh-on 200 years old, and take it from there. And by the way :D HAPPY CRIMBO, EVERYONE !!! :D
Malchik
Seasonal greets all round. I have given tiax a brief update and suggested he reads the two Nikishastra posts. He should be up to speed soon.
phawk69
Yes, Kalmer, dispelling the whispers would be a good way to get in as well, as long as Sagrami approaches us :)
karkarinus
So according to what Niki says, the "Lady's Entourage" thing may just work. Shall we go shopping then? :D
tiaxanderson
Yes yes, about that being up to speed.. Evventhough I'm here now I can't promise everything.. Your lucky if you'll ever see this post.. ahum. The thing isn't sorted out yet (much to my dismay, I thought it was solved but..). I'll read the posts and I'll try to post. Root for me. RedPlague
I was curious T'skar, instead of shopping would you not be able to get into some nobles mansion and liberate some appropriate attire instead of buying them? I'm sure the rest of the group could help by causing some sort of distraction or another if necessary. Though a safer way may be get into the mansion when the noble is out, perhaps at the beach. Also, i hope your problems are solved soon Mr. Anderson.
phawk69
We can but try, right? It sounds like a good idea to liberate clothing, maybe from more than one source, and during the day sounds like a good idea to me. I was just wondering if it wouldn't be good to give Áni one of the swords of Zooz, I think we have a couple, and he seems to know how to handle a sword ... phawk69
Sorry for the double post, but it is a new topic. About the back story - why not say we are from Kolokon, and T'skar was picked many years ago for the trivumate? No one knows anything about the rulers in that city, as our gracious host so readily told us. As to why we're here: any good ideas?
RedPlague
While i'm sure Áni would be honored to have one of the swords, his personal weapon is a bladed staff at one of the local guardhouses. Rather different from a sword, but any warrior worth his salt can use more than just one weapon effectively. As for a reason to be there i'm not sure. You could say you're there to investigate a relative that was in the area and disappeared. But that might be too easy to disprove.. Maybe you heard it was a good vacation spot?
