kalosj
Hi all, Im about to get a new Pc after 1 & 1/2 without one and want to hit back on oblivion (which i was playing through when my last one died). Ive used OOO before and love it - but this time round, I was thinking of adding a Dual Wield as well (and possibly some animation mods...). Is there a good dual wield that works with OOO? Or suggestions on what mods to get to get dual wield workiong well alongside OOO? Cheers Kal
Eshenaleros
a good mod to try out is Unnecessary Violence. just remember installation is a bit more tricky than normal so read carefully, but it should be compatible with quite literally everything
kalosj
Thanks for the reply - I had seen the title for that mod, but was avoiding as i didnt think it was a dual wield mod....cheers Btw, I assume that I grab both the core UV file and the OOO compatibilty file if I wanna run OOO with UV? Also, I've read the readme text on the site for UV - will UV work alongside Sensual Walks for females, as that mod must add in additional animations, but Im assuming they're not combat related so should be compatible? Cheers Kal Sensual walks is non-combat, so you're right, it should work with UV. (I use Colorwheels sexy female NPCs, which includes a couple of walks and I've not had any issues) Also, UV isn't just a dual wield mod. Theres a lotta fantastic work gone into that. Personally I'd reccomend using it with Skycaptain's Deadly Reflex, as both together give you stacks of extra combat animations and actual ways of fighting, making (the admittedly sometimes stale) combat experience in Oblivion resemble what I recon it should have in the first place. JenI'll agree to that. I remember being surrounded by skeletons once while I was dual-wielding longswords: Slash, slash, throw the left handed sword, switch the main one to both hands for more damage, kick someone in the face. it was a glorious battle. kalosj
Btw, what is the correct load order for using both UV and Deadly Relfex? Kal
Eshenaleros
either one - UV is made to be ultra compatible, as it runs almost exclusively on scripts... or something to that effect. just make sure you read the .Ini file of UV
