Srezic
Hey everyone, I have a really high-end system with a GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB. All my settings are at very high with a 1680x1050 resolution. I get a 30ish framerate outside and very good inside. However, when I use the "Int shadows" and "Ext shadows" the shadows on the body of people I speak to is screwed up. It looks like everything below their eyes is shadowed(without a helm on). I was really confused why this was happening, and then I stumbled upon a NPC with a helm on. The shadow was still there, but it looked natural when the helm was on. So, I'm figuring there is a bug which makes non-helmed NPCs appear to be have shadows applied to them as if they were wearing some form of helm (there are different versions of the face shadow). Just wondering if any of you noticed this as well and if there is any quick fix for this without disabling shadows (the shadows on the ground look AMAZING). Thats self-shadowing, I'm pretty sure, it looks like poo.
Srezic
oh, I guess that makes sense. Though the shadows look fairly good on the rest of the body, the face is really done poorly. Oh well, it's disabled for now.
loveme4whoiam
I get that, it looks pretty rubbish when they have wierd moving dark patches underhteir eyes and cheeks. Too bad. I also don't get proper shadows cast, even though all the options are turned up to full. For example, in the jail cell video when the character picked up the skeleton ribcage, it cast a cool boney shadow on the wall, which my game failed to do :(
Switch
That would be because clutter shadowing has been removed since the E3 video. They decided it was far too much of a system strain. Maybe someone will find a way to add it back in via the ini file, though. ^^ I have to agree on self-shadowing. I don't even know why they included it if it looks that awful. Maybe it looks better on the 360? :P
